PRESTON. (Page 1479.) FAM. 1, 3, vi. The widow of Samuel Preston, if she was Abigail Thomas as there is some reason to believe, m (2) a Lounsbury and was mother of Richard and Josiah Lounsbury. Her husband must have been one of the sons of the first Richard Lounsbury. The editor originally placed him as the second Richard, and this name remained on our books under the Preston family, though changed to John under the Lounsbury family (page 1107). After reconsidering the whole problem, the identity of the Lounsbury husband of Abigail Thomas is not certainly proved. If anyone can offer further information from original record sources, we shall be glad to print it. [Mrs. Nathaniel Selleck, of Danbury, Conn., called the discrepancy to our attention.]
ROBERTS. (Page 1510.) FAM. 1, 2. Zachariah, bp 14 May 1653, rem. to Bedford, N. Y., not Mass., as stated. The follow- ing record of children is contributed by George C. Bryant, Esq., of Ansonia, Conn.
1 ZACHARIAH, b 7 Mar 1677/8, bp 31 Oct 1680; res. Stamford 1721.
2 HEZEKIAH, bp 31 Oct 1680, d soon.
3 DOROTHY, bp 1 May 1681.
4 WILLIAM, b 4 Oct 1683, d soon.
5 HEZEKIAH, b 15 Oct 1685, bp 29 Nov 1685, perhaps the one who d at Bedford 1775 [ Abstract of Wills, N. Y. Hist. Soc., 8 : 272].

ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS
Mar 1724 æ. 60 MansfieldT. (Page 1562.) FAM. 8, 1, vi. Remove death date, which belongs to Amos on page 1558.
(Pages 1553, 1554.) FAM. 2, 4, ix, and FAM. 3, 4, iv. The stone of Phebe states : Phebe Rice wife of Ebenezer Rice died Oct. 31, 1824, aged 82 yrs. She did not m (2) a Tyler, an error caused by the record as it appears in the book of Claremont Inscrip- tions. (Page 1559.) FAM. 6, 3, viii. Another error caused by the printed Claremont Inscriptions is the record of death of Hezekiah's first wife. The inscription actually reads : Here lies the body of Mrs. Lois wife of Hezekiah Roys who died Feb. 27 1790 in the 48th year of her age. She was the mother of twelve children. (Page 1555.) Abel Rice, Nehemiah Rice and Jared Peck conveyed together at Claremont in 1789; the two children of Abel bp at Bristol prob. belonged to the Abel on page 1559 (FAM. 6, 3, iii). (Page 1554.) FAM. 3, 4, ix. Remove this child, who is identical with FAM. 16, 2. (Page 1555.) FAM. 3, 6, iv. The original Claremont record does not call Nehemiah's wife Mary a Tyler or give her maiden name, but it has been added in the copy. She could have been da. Benjamin & Mabel (Andrews) Tyler, bp 9 July 1758 Bristolx. [Corrections based on research and suggestions of Mrs. Henry C. Sanders, Jr., Claremont, N. H.]
Miss Helen E. Royce, of Hartford, Conn., who added to our data on the Royce family, writes us that she is now convinced that Abel (FAM. 6, 3, iii, on page 1559) did not mn c. 1758, but d unm. before his father; she finds that the probate files appar- ently have split into two estates documents which all pertain to the estate of this man's father Abel, Sr., and this formerly misled her. The editor notes that her present conclusion conflicts with one expressed by Mrs. Sanders in the preceding paragraph; but not having studied this branch personally, he leaves it to the Royce genealogists to solve the difficulties.
SMITH. (Page 1644.) FAM. 39. The Orange Church Census gives the following record of the children : Keturah, b 18 Aug 1789; m 18 Mar 1810, Merit Clark. Susanna, b 14 Jan. 1792; m 19 Oct 1814, Samuel Prudden. Oliver, b 4 Nov 1797. Lyman, b 28 Apr 1800. Their mother Susanna (page 1634) mn (2) 1806, Isaac Clark. [Contributed by George C. Bryant, Esq., Ansonia, Conn.]
STEVENS. (Page 1703.) FAM. 7. Newton & Polly (Rey- nolds) had in all 12 children, for whom see Com. Biog. Rec. of New Haven County, p. 528; one was a da. Mary E. who m 27 Dec 1847 Frederick S. Ward and d Aug 1883. [Contributed by Mrs. Louise Heitmann Gorham, of West Haven, Conn.]
