PREFACE.
WE present our thanks to those who have made to us accurate returns of various officers and statistics for the Register. Some, however, are too indistinctly written and incomplete. Care should be taken in writing proper names, or the printer may get them wrong. Some returns came in too late to insert them in their proper place, as some parts of the Register go to press in November .- Our limits oblige us to omit or contract some articles ; but chiefly those which change least from year to year.
The following list embraces articles of permanent value, here inserted for convenience of reference.
Annals of Conn. from 1620 to 1821, Register for 1847
Archives of Conn. Indexes, 1849
Assistants (Senators) from 1639 to 1819, 1848
