PREFACE.
The publishers present their thanks to all persons who have furnished information for the REGISTER for 1874. Be- sides the usual matter, it contains other statistics of interest to the present time; the form and style being the same as heretofore. In the compilation of this work, it is our endeavor to have every part revised by those who have the best opportu- nity for doing it correctly. The character of it renders it impossible to be exact in all facts, but it is hoped that un- necessary errors have been avoided in this issue.
In the list of Attornies, no names have been inserted but those who are duly authorized by the Courts to practice in the State; and in the Clergy lists, all who are not regularly or- dained Ministers, have been excluded.
Those who furnish matter for the Register, or desire any changes to be made, are reminded that the work goes to press about the 1st of November.
Commissioners for other States should give notice of any additions or changes directly to us, as there is no other source of information.
