There are 167 Towns in this State-79 send two Representa- tives and 88 one each, making 246 members of the House; these Towns are divided into 21 Senatorial Districts; and the eight Counties into 4 Congressional Districts.
By the constitutional amendment adopted October, 1874, four members were added in 1875, to the Connecticut House of Repesentatives, viz .; one each from the Towns of Bridgeport, Derby, Meriden, and Vernon.
Hartford County has 3 Senators and 43 Representatives.
New Haven County has 3 Senators and 33 Representatives.
New London County has 3 Senators and 29 Representatives. Fairfield County has 3 Senators and 32 Representatives.
Windham County has 2 Senators and 24 Representatives. Litchfield County has 3 Senators and 41 Representatives. Middlesex County has 2 Senators and 22 Representatives. Tolland County has 2 Senators and 22 Representatives.
