CONFERENCES .- The churches on the east side of the Con- necticut River belong to the Providence Conference, which meets at Provincetown, Mass., April 12, 1876, and are em- braced chiefly in the Norwich District. The churches on the west side of the river belong nearly all to the New York East Conference, and are embraced in the New Haven, Bridgeport, and New York Districts; this conference meets April 5, 1876, at Brooklyn, N. Y.
