J. G. THROWER'S INVALID LIFT & SUPPORT
Assisting Patient to Walk.
ATLANTA, GA.
Compliment from the New York World.
A BOON TO INVALIDS.
"At the Piedmont "Exposition Mr. James G. Thrower, of At anta, had on exhibition what is probably the most remarkable piece of mechanism ever conceived for the painless and easy hand- ling of invalids. It is an invalid lift, by which a person afflicted with paralysis or other disability can be moved in any position, from upright to horizontal with no pain to the sick and little effort on the part of the manipulator. In fact it can be operated by a child. It lifte the invalid from the bed, holding him in an easy position at any angle, and moves him from the bed to a chair or about the room. It takes the patient from a chair and straightens the limbs ready for bed bath or any position desired. It is very simple in construction, but performs its work with almost human intelligence. Mr. Thower intends to put it into the hands of some leading concern making a specialty of appliancesfor invalids. In my estimation this comes in the line of important sick room adjuncts and should receive the immediate attention of a metropolitan agency for such things.
FROM THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Mr. J. G. Thrower's Invalid Lift.
He Has Been Granted a Patent on His Valuable Invention. A Word of Praise.
THE CONSTITUTION has long since dis- covered the merits of Mr. Thrower's in- vention, and now congratulates him on the fact that advices from the patent office, at Washington, inform him that his claim for a patent has been allowed. Mr. Thrower's arrangements are be- ing perfected for the manufacture of his machine on a large scale.
He has had his invention in use for about two years in his own home. It has proven such a boon that he decided to put it on exhibition, for the benefit of those who are incapable of physical exertion as well as those who have the care of them. It is a wonderful device for lightening labor and easing the pain of invalids and nurses. The machine lifts the invalid in any con- ceivable position with the greatest eas - and comfort, and in this lies its pecu- liarity and superiority over all other simular contrivances. Mr. Thrower has a dumb figure on exhibition with the apparatus, showing how the differ- ent muscles and movements of the body are provided for in the construction and operation of this invention.
For further particulars write the inventor or call and see the machine in operation at

ROOM 45 GOULD BUILDING, ATLANTA, GA.
The Electropoide Acknowledged to be the most marvelous discovery of the age. Its remarkable cures of diseases, in an unusual short period, which had baffled the skill of eminent physicians, is verily amazing. An instrumentality by which nature asserts itself; it does its work quietly without medicine or the least pain or inconvenience. All those suffering from disease of whatever character, apparently incurable, should not delay in applying this certain and pteasant remedy. It will be one of the most important and interesting attractions to be inspected during your stay in the city, if a stranger, and if not, you should lose no time in making yourself acquainted with the merits of this remarkable instrument, Thermal elec- tricity by induction is the theory, causing the whole system to absorb from the atmosphere oxygen in unlimited quantities, the fusion of this oxygen with the other gasses of the body causing all diseases to be thrown off, and adding vital force to an unlimited extent. The ELECTROPOISE does not only cure, but it is a preventative of disease; therefore the whole human family must be and is directly interested in it. We request all persons afflicted with any malady to call at our office for personal information and directions as to the method of treatment. W. H. WITHERSPOON, Prest.
