Barrows, served in the Union army ; G. M. D. Bar- rows died while connected with the Red River expedition.

C. Diggins and brother built the first log cabin in the vicinity.

O .; born in Weathers- field, Windsor Co., Vt .; came to this county in the fall of 1835, and to this town in 1841; owns 130 acres of land one and onc-half miles from Harvard. Had two wives ; the first, Lucinda Owns, of Franklin Co., Vt .; married his second wife, Ellen Blodget, in 1850; she was of Alden Tp., in this county ; had six children, three by the first and three by the second wife.
