ART. VII. Twenty members shall constitute a quorum, but no purchase, sale, mortgage, or transfer of real estate shall be made except by a vote of a meeting which shall have been publicly notified on the two preceding Sabbaths, and the object thereof mentioned in said notice.


ART. VIII. Any amendments to the Constitution may be made at any business meeting, provided the proposed amendment shall have been stated in the notice for the meeting.

RESOLUTION OF INCORPORATION. PASSED DECEMBER 10, 1878.


Resolved, That pursuant to that portion of Chapter 32 of the Revised Statutes of the State in relation to religious corporations (Act approved April, 1972%, this Society does hereby organize and tote to become incorporated under the corporate name of " The Union Park Congregational Society of Chicago;" and for that purpose we do hereby elect John Marder, H. R. Symonds, George Sherwood, L. C. Platt and I. N. Camp as Tinstees, agreeable to the usages and customs, rules and regulations of this Society; and


Resolved, further, That we do hereby direct the Secretary of this meeting to make and file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County the proper affidavit required by the Statutes to perfect our said organization.
