H. &. S. controlling the mine, and having the larger share of the stock; they commenced taking out a few hun- dred bushels per day, and now have four shafts in operation, and get out from thirty to forty cars per day, and are the most ex- tensive coal producers in Rock Island Co .; they employ from 200 to 300 men ; there is a thriving little village in the vicinity of these mines, called Happy Hollow, there being a post-office, telegraph office, and station; Mr. Heagy married Miss Henri- etta, daughter of J.
