SAFES.
HALL'S PATENT
CONCRETE FIRE . PROOF
SAFES,
MANUFACTURED BY
HALL, DODDS & CO,
CINCINNATI, OHIO.
WITH THIS SAFE WE DEFY THE WORLD ! We also challenge any one to show that it has ever, in a single instance, in an accidental fire, failed to preserve its contents ; and as a proof of our sincerity, we offer a reward of
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS !
To any person who shall prove that up to this time, one of our Safes has ever accidentally encountered fire, without protecting its contents.
CINCINNATI, May 12, 1848.
The undersigned were present at the opening of one of Messrs. Hall & Co.'s Patent Fire- proof Safes, after being exposed to most intense heat for FIVE HOURS, in a furnace fed with stone coal, the heat being so great as to melt the wheels. The books and papers contained in the Safe during the trial were neither burned nor scorched in the slightest degree, and we believe these safes to be Fire Proof.
