Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treas- urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning Jan- uary 1, 1945, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one

year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, and any amendments thereto, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer.


Art. 2. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treas- urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 49 of the Acts of 1933, and any amendments thereto, for the purpose of providing funds to meet ordinary maintenance expenses and revenue loans, such borrowing in no event to exceed the amount of the tax titles held in excess of the amount owing to the Com- monwealth for similar loans previously made, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer.


Art. 3. To see if the Town will vote to accept Guild Road in accord- ance with the plans and profile on file with the Town Clerk, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Board of Selectmen.


Art. 4. To see if the Town will vote to accept Seagirt Avenue in accordance with the plans and profile on file with the Town Clerk, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the peti- tion of the Board of Selectmen.

Art. 22. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the committee ap- pointed at a Town Meeting held on November 15, 1943, to lease for a nominal consideration the Old Iron Works House to the First Iron Works Association, Inc., for five years, subject to such considerations as the Town or said committee shall prescribe, or take any action relative thereto, agreeable to the petition of Henry A. B. Peckham and others.


Art. 23. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-laws and Zoning Map so that the following described land shall be zoned for business purposes :


"Commencing at a point on Lincoln Avenue at the South- westerly line of land of Angus D. McFarlane, then running Westerly along Lincoln Avenue a distance of 50.87 feet; thence turning and running in a Northwesterly direction along Birch Street a distance of 97.54 feet; thence turning and running Northeasterly by land of C. Art. 24. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-laws and Zoning Map so that the remaining parts of Lots A-47 and A-29 on Plan 2030 on file in the Assessors' office will be zoned for business, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of Dorothy Shorey Estabrook and others.


Art. 25. To see if the Town will vote to accept a deed to the land for a 40-foot right of way from the present end of Ash Street to Essex Street, and a gift from the late Carl O. Staaf of $1,000 (one thousand dollars) to be spent on opening up said right of way within three years, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of Esther O. Staaf and others.

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $850.00 to be expended under the direction of the Town Treasurer to investigate and to determine the validity of tax titles held by the Town, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer.


Art. 28. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $3,500.00 for the payment of all expenses in connection with the foreclosure of tax titles held by the Town, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer.


Art. 29. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,080.00 for the salary of a secretary of the Board of Selectmen to co-ordinate war prices and rationing activities, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Board of Selectmen.


Art. 30. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the expenses of the Saugus War Price and Rationing Board No. 269, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Board of Selectmen.
