Chapter 40, Section 5, Clause 34; to determine what, if any, sums so appropriated shall remain available after December, 31, 1939; to fix the terms and conditions of any loan or loans authorized to procure any of such funds and to author- ize the issue of bonds or notes for the same, and fix the term and rate of interest of any such bonds or notes; to fix such salaries as require to be fixed by the Town Meeting; and to impose such conditions upon the drawing of compensation from the Town as the Town may see fit; or take any other action in relation to any of the foregoing subjects.
ARTICLE 2. (By Direction of the Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise or borrow and. appropriate for providing co-operation with the Federal Government in unemployment relief and other projects of direct or indirect benefit to the Town or its inhabitants, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 3. (By Direction of the Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote that of the sum appropriated under Article 2 of this Warrant a definite amount be set apart for the purpose of resurfacing, constructing, altering or repairing sidewalks and curbings throughout the Town or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Select- men, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1939, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with General Laws (Ter. Ed.) Chapter 44, Section 17.
ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, on and after January 1, 1940, to bor- row in anticpation of the revenue of the year 1940.
ARTICLE 7. To see what sum of money the Town will vote from surplus for the use of the Assessors in determining the tax rate for the year 1939 or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell or otherwise dispose of any real or personal property of which the Town may be possessed or seized and for which it has no further use, in- cluding all real estate of which the Town has possession or title for non- payment of taxes; to see if the Town will vote to authorize any other department to sell or otherwise dispose of any personal property in its possession and to determine the' manner or conditions of such sales, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Board of Selectmen to accept conveyances or mortgages of any real or personal property belonging to persons receiving relief from the Town and to dispose of said property in the manner they may judge for the Town's best interest and to authorize them to discharge any encumbrances on said property if they consider it for the best interest of the Town so to do, and to see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the discharging of such encumbrances.
ARTICLE 10. (By Direction of the Selectmen and on petition of abut- ters on the several streets hereinafter named). To see if the Town will accept the several reports of the Selectmen laying out as town ways the following designated private ways and parts of ways or any of them, to wit :-
Morningside Path Lambert Avenue
Raleigh Road, from Lambert Avenue to Revere Road
Gibbens Street
Clematis Avenue from Idlewell Boulevard westerly to Pleasantview Avenue.
Jaffrey Street, from Commercial Street to Epping Street.
Epping Street, from Jaffrey Street to No. 50 Epping Street.
Candia Street, from Academy Avenue to land of G. Henry Dattman.
or any portion of said ways and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift or purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee or otherwise for all purposes of a public street and highway in and over each of said streets as so laid out and accepted, and to see what, sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the working of each of the above named streets including the acquisition of the fee above referred to and for the building of any bridges, drains and conduits or securing easements which may be necessary in connection therewith and to see whether the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept deeds of any reservation strips existing in connection with any of said streets, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 11. (By Direction of the Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to reconstruct, resurface, widen, straighten, relocate or work the following streets, provided the State or County or both will appropriate a sum of money to help defray the expenses of said works, to wit :-
NORTH STREET, or NORTH and NORTON STREETS
or any portion of said ways and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift or purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee or otherwise for all purposes of a public street and highway in and over each of said streets, and to see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the working of each of the above named streets, including the acquisition of the fee above referred to and for the building of any bridges, drains, and conduits or securing easements which may be necessary in connection therewith, and to see whether the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept deeds of any reservation strips existing in connection with any of said streets, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will take any action upon the report of the committee on the widening of Broad Street made in the Town Re- port of the year 1931, and to see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of widening Broad Street or any portion thereof.
ARTICLE 13. (By Direction of the Selectmen and on petitions as hereinafter may appear). To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the resurfacing, construction or repair of sidewalks and curbings on the streets of the Town as hereinafter set forth or take any other action in relation thereto:

GOVERNMENTAL AND ADMINISTRATION CHANGES
ARTICLE 15. (On petition of Everett E. Callahan and others). To see if the Town will vote to rescind the amendment to its by-laws passed at a special town meeting September 15, 1937, relative to the closing date of warrants, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 16. (On Petition of Everett E. Callahan and others). To see if the Town will take any action relative to the establishment of a Purchasing Department.
ARTICLE 17. (On Petition of Everett E. Callahan and others). To see if the Town will vote to petition the Legislature for an act entitled : "An act to change the time of holding the annual meeting of the Town of Weymouth, to enlarge the powers and duties of the Selectmen, to abolish certain offices, and to provide for the administration of Town affairs," or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 18. (On Petition of Everett E. Callahan and others). To see if the Town will vote to accept Section 3A of Chapter 115 of the General Laws relative to the disbursement of Soldiers' Relief, State Aid, etc., or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 19. (On Petition of Everett E. Callahan and others). To see if the Town will amend its by-laws by inserting the following: "No member of the Appropriation Committee shall accept any elective or any salaried appointive position during his term of office," or take any other action in relation thereto.
SCHOOLS
ARTICLE 20. (On Petition of the Committee for the proposed en- largement of the Edward B. Nevin School). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise, by loan or otherwise, and appropriate for the construction and furnishing of an addition to the Edward B. Nevin School, and to take any action within the scope of the report of the Committee appointed under vote of the Town Meeting in March 1938, and to take any other action in relation to the subject matter of this article.
ARTICLE 21. (At the request of the School Committee). To see if the Town will acquire by purchase, or take by right of eminent domain, a certain lot of land belonging to Bessie T. Nevin, in South Weymouth, and bounded and described as follows:
