Pursuant to the warrant and the Constable's Return thereon, a town meeting was held and was called to order by the Moderator, Charles P. Howard. The warrant was partially read when on motion it was voted to dispense with further reading except the Constable's return which then was duly read by the Town Clerk, Millard F. Charles.

Article 4. On motion of Harold W. Putnam, it was voted that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for connecting estates with the common sewer. $1,000.00

buildings and for municipal power, and from sales of appliances and jobbing during the current fiscal year, be appropriated for the munici- pal lighting plant, the whole to be expended by the Manager of Muni- cipal Lighting, under the direction and control of the Municipal Light Board, for the expense of the plant for said fiscal year, as defined in Section 57 of Chapter 164 of the General Laws, and that if said sum and said income shall exceed said expense for said fiscal year, twenty thousand dollars shall be turned over to the Town Treasurer out of the profits of the Municipal Light Department and the balance shall be transferred to the Construction Fund of said plant and appropriated and used for such additions thereto as may thereafter be authorized by the Municipal Light Board.
Article 4. On motion of Harold W. Putnam, it was voted that the sum of six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00) be raised and ap- propriated for the removal of snow and ice. $6,500,00

On motion of Albert N. Leman, it was voted to adjourn to meet in this Hall, Monday evening, March 19, 1934 at 7:40 P. M.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
Security Hall, Woburn St., March 19, 1934.
The meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Charles P. How- ard at 7:40 o'clock P. M.
The Moderator read the beginning of the warrant for the meet- ing. On motion of Albert N. Leman, it was voted that further read- ing be dispensed with except the Constable's Return. The Constable's Return was read.
The Moderator announced that owing to the absence of Town Clerk, Millard F. Charles, on account of sickness, it would be necessary to elect a temporary clerk. Mr. Leman nominated Leon G. Bent. No other no minations were made. Ballots were distributed, collected and counted by the Selectmen. Mr. Leman announced that Leon G. Bent received 52 votes and that there were 11 blanks. The Moderator declared Mr. Bent elected Temporary Clerk and he was duly sworn.
On motion of Albert N. Leman, it was voted that the Special Town meeting be adjourned to reconvene immediately upon the ad- .. journment of the annual Meeting.

ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING

The adjourned annual meeting was called to order by the Mod- erator at 7:55 o'clock P. M.
On motion of Albert N. Leman, it was voted that Article 4 be taken from the table.
Article 4. On motion of Harold W. Putnam, it was voted that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $55,000.00, of which sum $4,841.02 is to be taken from the unexpended balance on hand in the Water Reserve on January 1, 1934, said appropriation to be used by the Board of Public Works for the payment of water bonds and interest, maintenance and operation and construction of water works.
Article 4. On motion of Harold W. Putnam, it was voted that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $10,500.00, of which sum $1,333.91 is to be taken from the unexpended balance on hand in the Sewer Reserve on January 1, 1934, said appropriation to be used by the Board of Public Works for the payment of interest due the current year on sewer bonds, and the charges and expenses incident to the maintenance, operation or extension of the sewer system.
