"Section 1. The Board of Selectmen shall constitute the Law Committee of the Town".

Article 1. On motion of Albert N. Leman, that the By-Laws of the Town be and the same are hereby amended by striking from Ar- ticle 4, Sections 1 and 2 and inserting in place thereof the following :

Article 2. On motion of Albert N. Leman, it was voted that the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) be raised and appropriated for the purpose of foreclosing in the Land Court the right ,of redemption to real estate taken by the Town for non-payment of taxes previous to the year 1932.


Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to accept the report of the Board of Public Works on the relocating or altering of Franklin St., such highway being relocated or altered in accordance with plan duly approved by the Board of Public Works and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, in accordance with statutory requirements, and to see if the Town will accept the relocation or alteration of Franklin Street as shown on said plan or what it will do in relation thereto.

Article 3. Report of the Board of Public Works on the Relocation or alteration of Franklin Street.


The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading having de- termined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity re- quire that the public highway be laid out, relocated or altered as and in the location hereinafter described, having complied with all re- quirements of law relating to notice to owners of land thereof and of a hearing thereon, and having met at the time and place appointed for such hearing and then and there heard all persons present who desired to be heard, have laid out, relocated or altered as a public highway for the use of the town, Franklin Street. The boundaries and meas- urements of said public highway as so laid out, relocated or altered are as follows :


The northerly side line of said Franklin Street as hereby relo- cated begins at a Massachusetts Highway Stone Bound at land of Elmer R. Batchelder. Thence on a curve to the right with a radius of 39.39 feet, through land of said Batchelder, a length of 57.84 feet to a point of tangent :


From thence the said northerly line runs S. 88 degrees -06'-30" W., partly within the limits of said Franklin Street heretofore used for high- way purposes and partly by land of W. Raymond Emerson, Adm., a distance of 466.70 feet to a point of curve :

by report to the Town for acceptance and recommend that when this report is accepted and adopted by the Town, that said public high- way shall thereafter be laid out, relocated or altered in accordance with said plan.

Article 4: To see if the Town will vote to accept the report of the Board of Public Works upon the laying out as a public highway of a private way known as County Road, under the provisions of law authorizing the assessments of betterments, such highway being laid out in accordance with plan duly approved by the Board of Survey and filed in the office of the Town Clerk in accordance with the statutory requirements, and to see if the Town will accept the public way laid out by the Board of Public Works as County Road, and to raise and appropriate for the said laying out and the construction of said way the sum of one thousand four hundred twenty-eight and 75-100 dollars ($1,428.75), or what it will do in relation thereto.

The southerly line of said County Road commences at a stone bound set at the present terminus of the southerly line of said Howard Street at land of Wilfred L. and Catherine A. Porter, said point be- ing S. 81 degrees -51' -30', a distance of 731.91 feet from a stone
