It was put to vote to see if the town would discontinue an old bridle way and except of that part of the alteration of a way near Zebadiah Chandler's and it passed in the affirmative, said Chandler having no demand for the alteration.
It was put to vote to see if the town would except of a private way laid out beginning at the road leading to Bradford between the land of Ebenezer Osgood and Josiah Osgood's land and so on to Mr. John Johnson's land on the great hill and it passed in the affirmative.

And that Mr. Thomas Abbot Jr. be accepted to serve as Constable in the room of Capt. Isaac Osgood the ensuing year.

The inhabitants of said Town qualified for voting as the law directs be- ing legally warned and convened on said day, Mr. Peter Osgood was chosen Mod- erator for said meeting, being put to a vote to see whether the Town would pay the charge that has by the removal of Dr. Joseph Osgood's child when sick with the smallpox. It passed in the negative. The meeting was then dissolved.

The selectmen then laid before the Town a list of the persons liable by law to serve on the Petit Jury; out of which number so returned at said meeting the Town did select one-quarter part and such as were judged more suitable to serve as jurors at the Superior Court and placed the names written on separate papers in one box; and the remainder of the persons named so returned in the same manner in another box: in conformity to an act of the government en- titled an act for ye better regulating ye choice of Petit Jurors made and pas- sed in the last year of His Majesty's Reign, said boxes to be kept in ye place and manner as in and by said act is more particularly directed. The meeting then dissolved.

Voted that the alteration of the road that leads from Joshua Stevens to Stephen Foster's as laid out and returned by the Selectmen of said Town be accepted provided no charge accrues to the Town by reason of said alteration.
Being put to a vote whether the Town will abate the Pole Tax of Capt. Peter Parker and others of said Town for the year 1760, who were blown off the cost last winter. It passed in the negative. The meeting was then dissolved.

Being put to vote whether the Tom will open the way that leads from Mr. James Holt's to Mr. Zabadiah Johnson's. It passed in the negative.
Voted that the highway that is laid over the upper Damhill, so called, leading to Ebenezer Rand's and Stephen Blanchard's Jr. to be mended at the Town's cost for the future.

Whereas sundry of the inhabitants of said Town are threatened with in- juries and abuses from riotous assemblies, said Town unanimously voted their utter detestation and abhorance of all such violent and extraordinary pro- ceedings and that the selectmen, the militia officers and the magistrates of the Town be desired to use their utmost endeavors agreeable to law to sup- press the same and that the freeholders and other inhabitants will do every- thing in their power to assist them therein. We, the freeholders and other inhabitants of the said Town, legally assembled in Town Meeting on said day to consider what may be proper on our part to be done at this critical conjunction being a time we apprehend that we and the rest of his Majesty's subjects of this Province, as well as those of the other Provinces and Colonies in British America, are by sundry Acts of Parliament of Great Britain, especially by an Act called the Stamp Act, in danger of being not only reduced to such indigent circumstances as will render us unable to manifest our loyalty
