Гланичего The year 1944 was an encouraging one Report financially as well as a financially active one. During the year, three bonds held by the Churchas investment were called for payment: $1,000. armour & Co. 4% and.
228
2,000. Illinois Light + Power 5%. 1 payment of 30 % of the principal of another band amounting to 320 , was received. The Church also received a bequest of "828.28 from the Estate of J. Edgar Brown.
of the above sume 3,100 was paid the Peener National Bank to apply on the Parsonage Re- Construction Joon, reducing that indebtedness to $500. The balance together with Atro. current funds was used to purchase nine shares of imercan Telephone common stock for investment, which at the price paid will yield approximately 5 1/2 of income.
as authorized by vate of the Church members, your treasurer borrowed $4,000. from the Palmer National Bank and purchased the terry Moore property for a Parsonage, it being the intention of the Trustees to sell the former Parsonage for enough to liquidate the Church's indebtedness at the bank. However, this plan did not materialige, so the Trustees voted to rent the quarters formerly occupied by Mr. Mac Lead and family until such time as the property could be sold to advantage. The Church is receiving $ 57.50 per month rental for the property at present and it is hoped that this rental money, after necessary repairs and upkeep may be used to reduce the indebtedness as possible.
ENclosing I want to express my thanks to the members of the Ladies Benevolent Society for their donations to the Church during the year amounting to nearly $ 10.
Respectfully submitted Frank & Getford Treas.
