ANNUAL REPORTS

APPENDIX A-PEABODY FUND

The Peabody fund, amounting to $15,000, deposited in the Institution for Savings, of Newburyport, has yielded an income during the past year of $600. With the balance that was in hand, $447.57, there has thus been available for the purchase of books the sum of $1044.57. From this there have been bought and added to the library, since our last report was issued, 248 volumes, at a cost of $588.74, leaving on hand a balance to be carried to the new year of $455.83. The total number of books which have been purchased from the income of this fund now amounts to 11,687.

CHARLES W. MOSELEY, Treasurer Peabody Fund. LAWRENCE B. CUSHING, THOMAS C. SIMPSON, JOHN J. CURRIER, FRED. S. MOSELEY (by C. W. M.),

Having studied the accounts of the treasurer I find all bills paid as stated, vouchers filed, and the balance on deposit in the Ocean National Bank.

Newburyport, December 6, 1909.

JOHN D. PARSONS.

APPENDIX B-BUILDING FUND

To the Directors of the Public Library:

The building fund, since the publication of the last report, has yielded an income of $253.28. At the beginning of the year there remained on hand a balance of $245.24, making a total of $498.52. From this a number of bills for repairs on the building, and its general upkeep have been paid, amounting to $197.70. The balance now available is $300.82.

CHARLES W. MOSELEY, Treasurer Building Fund. LAWRENCE B. CUSHING.

Examined the above, find the accounts correct, accompanied by vouchers, and the balance as stated on deposit in the Ocean Bank.

JOHN D. PARSONS. Newburyport, December 6, 1909.
