The treasurer shall give a bond with satisfactory sureties for the faithful discharge of his duties in such sum as may be fixed by the Trustees. He shall have the care of all papers relating to the property and accounts of the corporation, ex- cept his own bond, which shall be in the custody of the president, and shall receive all moneys or funds thereto belong- ing, which he shall deposit under the direction of the Board of Trustees, until he shall invest or expend the same by vote of the Board. He shall keep a correct record of receipts, invest- ments and expenditures, which shall at all times be open to the inspection of any member of the board. He shall render a de- tailed report of the financial condition of the corporation an- nually in the month of January, and at other times when re- quired.


ARTICLE V.


Upon the adoption of these by-laws, and thereafter at the regular meeting in February in each year, the Board of Trus- tees shall choose from the members an executive committee

of three. The executive committee shall have, under the dir- ection of the Trustees, the general management and direction of the Park.


ARTICLE VI.


These by-laws may be altered, amended or repealed by a majority of the Board voting in the affirmative at any regular meeting, notice having been given at a previous regular meet- ing at which a quorum was present.

There were three deaths at the city home during the year. One was due to apoplexy, one to disease of the heart complica- ted by old age, and one to bronchial pneumonia and old age. With these exceptions the inmates have been quite free from sickness. There were four other deaths from patients under my care, two being cases of consumption.


My thanks are again due to the officers of the Charity De- partment for courtesies extended to me in the performance of my duties.
