There was one death in the home of a patient from tuber- cular meningitis.

There was one death at the City Home during the year, an aged woman who had been an inmate for several years. The death was due to apoplexy. From my own observation I can say that the care of the inmates and the home, by the matron, is most excellent, and this opinion is confirmed by frequent unsolicited commendations of the inmates. Improvements to the home within and to the grounds without, merit my cordial approval.

Respectfully, CLARENCE P. HOLDEN, City Physician,
