It is a singular fact that two persons of the name Daniel Claflin, appear simulta- neously on the records of Hopk. and Fram., and each rears a family of chil. having identical Christian names. There was also at the same time a Robert Claflin in Hopk. The tradition is common in all the families, that they are of Scotch descent.
