OTIS BARKER.
Scituate. On the beach at Scituate may be seen the wreck of the Pilot Boat Columbia, thrown there by the great storin of Novem- ber 27, 1898. It has been transformed by Mr. Otis Barker into a counterpart of the "The Ark " on Yarmouth Sands, known to us all as the home of " Peggotty " and " Little Emily." It contains four rooms (the furniture being made mainly from the fittings of the boat ), including "Little Davie's room," that completest and most desirable little bedroom ever seen, in the stern of the vessel. A huge beach stone fireplace with andirons of old anchors, and before it a chair made from Webster's yacht " Lapwing." Throughout the rooms may be seen many curios and relics almost without nuniber.
