WATER COMMISSIONERS' REPORT

December 31, 1919


The Water Commissioners respectfully submit the fol- lowing :


At the Regular Meeting of the Water Commissioners held Monday March 3d, 1919, the Water Board was organ- ized as the previous year : James C. McKay, Chairman and Clarence S. Williams, Clerk.


Walter S. Bigwood was reappointed Superintendent of Works.


At the regular meeting in May the Commissioners re .. ceived an application for ten services for Cottages at Castle Gate Road, Dudley Pond by Brown and Stackpole with pay- ment in advance for same at $7.00 each per season, faucet and toilet.


The Board voted to lay 600 feet, 4 inch wooden pipe the first to be laid in Wayland and 1000 feet of 2 inch galv. steel pipe to supply these cottages and others to be built.


About 300 feet of 11/2 inch galv. steel pipe was laid on Parkridge Road to supply three cottages.


450 feet of 2 inch galv. steel pipe was laid on Dudley Road extending towards Beechwood Point to supply four cottages.


Twenty new services were added the past year and more

than one hundred in six years making a total of three hundred and ninety two or a gain of twenty five per cent.


Owing to the extended rainy season there was an abund- ance of water in the reservoir.
