That the money received from the dog taxes be divided one-half to the Schools Expense account and one-half to the Library Expense account.
That all expense due to the collection of the dog taxes and care of unlicensed dogs be paid from the Police Department Expense account.
That the $200.00 provided in the Park Department budget for life guard at Baldwin's Pond be used to pay the salary of

Article 4. To see if the Town will authorize the Treas- urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1939, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than a year in accordance with Sec- tion 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.

Article 14. To see if the Town will appropriate and assess a sum of money to be used under the direction of the Selectmen in connection with WPA, and, whether in connection therewith, the Town will transfer other money from available funds to meet any of the appropriation, or do or act.
Voted unanimously that the Town appropriate and assess the sum of $16,000.00, and that the Town appropriate the sum of $896.65 to be taken from "Reeves Hill Road to Standpipe" account, the entire sum, $16,896.65, to be used as the Town's share on W. To see if the Town will extend a six-inch water main with four hydrants, gates and fittings along Rice Road, be- ginning at Commonwealth Road, for a distance of 3,000 feet, at an estimated cost of $4,000 to the Town, labor to be supplied by the Federal Government under a Federal Project.
Voted to refer the matter of extending a water main on Rice Road to a committee, composed of the Water Board, two residents of Rice Road and two members of the Finance Com- mittee, who will investigate the possibility of extending the main under P. W. A.
Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money for a water main on Rice Road from Old Con- necticut Path to Commonwealth Road.

E., which plan is on file in the Town Clerk's Office, be accepted, and that said Lake Road from West Plain Street southwesterly to Shore Drive as so laid out and established be approved and allowed and that the sum of $2,500.00 be and it hereby is appropriated and assessed to pay the same, and that the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to acquire by purchase or to take by eminent domain under Chapter 79 of the General Laws an ease- ment or easements in the land adjoining the locations of said way, consisting of the right to have the land of the locations protected by having the surface of the adjoining land sloped from the boundary of the locations, and that said sum of $2,500.00 is appropriated both for the construction of said ways and for the payment of land damages, if any, occasioned there- by and by the acquisition of the easements of slope hereby authorized to be acquired.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to accept as a public town way under the Betterment Act the ways known as High Street and Brackett Road, situated in that part of the Town known as Wayland Center, as laid out by order of the Board of Selectmen, and shown on a plan or plans on file with the Town Clerk : to authorize the Board of Selectmen to ac- quire any necessary land by right of eminent domain, purchase, or otherwise, and to appropriate and assess a sum of money to cover the acquisition of such land and the construction of said public town ways, or do or act.
Voted that the report of the Selectmen laying out as public town ways under the Betterment Act High Street and Brackett Road, in that part of the Town usually known as Wayland Centre, said High Street from Millbrook Road Northerly a dis- tance of about Six Hundred Twenty (620) feet to land now or formerly of Hynes and Brackett Road from the Easterly side of said High Street extending in a curve in a Northeasterly to Northerly direction about Four Hundred (400) feet, all as shown on a plan entitled "Plan and Layout of High Street and Brackett Road, Wayland, Massachusetts, January 1939" Harold E. Draper, C. E., which Plan is on file in the Town Clerk's Office, be accepted, and that said High Street and Brackett Road as so laid out and established be approved and allowed,
