The foregoing pages contain a valuation of the Real and Personal Estates of the inhabitants of the Town of South Scituate, and the non- resident proprietors of said town, the present year. Also a copy of the State, County, and Town tax, assessed on the polls and estates of the inhabitants of said Town, and the non-resident proprietors, accord- ing to the law granted by the last General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and in accordance with a vote passed at the last annual meeting of the inhabitants of said Town, holden in March. Each one has his proportion of said taxes set against his name, amounting to seven thousand three hundred and thirty-eight dollars and thirty-four cents; also the school books, amounting to twenty dollars and ninety- four cents; also the highway arrears, amounting to two hundred and three dollars and fourteen cents ; making a total of seven thousand five hundred and sixty-two dollars and forty-two cents. And we have pre- pared bills of the same, and committed them to Walter Foster, Treas- urer and Collector, to be collected and paid over, agreeably to the order of said General Court, and the vote of said Town.
