PRINTERS' INK IS THE BEST FERTILIZER EVER DISCOVERED FOR A BUSINESS SOIL.

S. R. NILES, ewspaper Advertising Agent

6 TREMONT STREET, BOSTON.

Advertisements Inserted in the Newspapers of all Cities and Towns in the United States, at Publishers' Lowest Prices.

"The Object and Practical Operation of S. R. Niles' Advertising Agency.

FOR MY SERVICES YOU PAY NOTHING. I charge you the same prices as are charged by the publishers. My commission is paid by the newspapers,-not by the advertiser.

HIS AGENCY is one of the many illustrations of the great sub-divisions of labor which are so characteristic of modern methods of doing business. It is a concentration of the Newspapers of all parts of the United States, so arranged and systematized that Mer- chants, Manufacturers, Traders, and all classes may, with the greatest safety, conven- ience, and reliability, disseminate business information of every kind simultaneously throughout the entire country.

If you wish to do business, you must tell the public of that fact, and when you have once begun, you must keep telling them of it. Your surest, cheapest and quickest way to tell them is by advertising in the Newspapers circulating among the people you want to reach. Your most convenient and economical way is to hand your advertisement to me, instead of incurring the trouble and expense of communicating with each publisher. From long experience and observa- tion, I can suggest the best papers in which to advertise, show you copies of those best adapted for your business, explain the character, value, and circulation of each, assist you in the preparation of advertisements, ascertain your wishes and explain them to publishers, send your advertisements in proper form, and see that they are promptly inserted, and, in various other ways, aid you to ac- complish your object in the best manner and in the shortest time.

S. R. NILES.

NET THE BOSTON JOURNAL, in calling attention to the removal to new quarters, says :

"Scollay's Building is so nearly demolished that we can begin to appreciate the vast improve- ment which its entire removal will make in that great center of travel. We doubt if any one who was disposed to find fault with the city authorities for incurring the expense of this great public improvement would have the building put back for double the sum appropriated for its purchase. Passing there yesterday we noticed an old familiar sign, which has been there so long that it has become almost a part of the building itself-that of ' S. R. Niles' Advertising Agency.' For the past twenty years Mr. Niles has occupied rooms there, and has devoted himself to the busi- ness of advertising in the newspapers of all parts of the country. During this long time he has not only built up a large and prosperous business, but has gathered to himself hosts of friends who will wish him continued success in his new location, No. 6 Tremont street. Advertising is, in fact, a science, and although it is becoming to be recognized as a primary and unavoidable expense in the prosecution of any business enterprise, and sometimes the only capital in many undertakings, still there are but few who really appreciate its immense importance, or realize the wonder it is ca- pable of performing. When managed with experience, judgment, skill, persistency and liberality, we do not believe there ever was an instance known where it did not yield most gratifying results. From our long business and personal connection with Mr. Niles, we know that he is a master of the art of advertising-that his judgment and advice in advertising may be relied upon-that lie has been repeatedly entrusted with the promulgation of great enterprises, and that he enjoys tlie confidence and respect of the newspaper press and the public to an extent which it is an honor for any man to possess."

No other invention affords so profitable employment for woman. It not only emancipates her from a tedious and time-wasting toil, but it creates for her, at the same time, a New and Inde- pendent Occupation. No woman who has tried the resources of her own labor, and found, as she must have found, almost all the avenues to profitable industry closed to her sex, will need to be told that to her such an invention is invaluable.

HUDSON, N. Y., March 20, 1871.

Mr. WM. RENNE- Dear Sir: You do not recommend your Magic Oil for Catarrh. You ought to, as my own experience proves. It was an accidental (or providentlal) discovery. The ease was aggravated and peculiar, and the cure was speedy and perfeet. If you need any vouchers for me I refer to your agents in this city, and to Hon. H. W. Rogers, and J. W. Hoysradt, former Mayor of Hudson. Respectfully yours, CHAS. W. TOMLINSON, Pastor of First Universalist Church, Hudson, N. Y.

ATHENS, Tenn., Sept. 26, 1869.

Mr. RENNE-Dear Sir: I wish to say a word for your Pain Killing Magic Oil. I have been a great sufferer from that awful disease, Siek Headache. It generally attacks mne early in the morning, grows in intensity all day, all night, and all the next day, and generally, though not always, goes off during the second night. It conies upon me at least once a month, and often two or three times, always confining me to my bed for about thirty-six to forty hours, and paining me so terribly that it seems as if my head would burst open in spite of skull and every thing else. A per- son's hand would be thrown entirely off by its throbbing. In short, I suffered agony indescribable. Our best Physicians failed in my ease, and I have used most of the popular remedies sold, which are recommended as " sure to eure " just such cases, but they not only failed to cure me, but seemed to aggravate iny situation. A few months ago, I fortunately obtained a bottle of your Pain Killing Magie Oil, and as you claim, " It works like a charm!" When I feel my old plague coming on, I'use the Magie Oil hoth externally and internally, freely and faithfully, and now, I do not even have to stop my work, but go about my business as usual.

I assure you one fellow-mnn has been benefited hy your invention, and for which I feel grateful. May God reward you. In my house and family your Magie Oil is as indispensable as flour. I hope my letter may be the means of letting other poor sufferers know the virtues of your Magle Oil, and you may use my name as n reference if you choose. Gratefully, I am yours, &e., EDWARD A. COBLEIGII.

WM. RENNE, EsQ.,-Dear Bro .: The letter from Edward A. Cobleigh is from my son. Ile has suffered greatly from Headache, but has recently found a cure by using your Pain Killing Magic Oil. Rev. Bro. Spence, our agent, uses your Magic Oil, and finds relief from the severest Ileadache! I also use it in my family, and find it excellent in several ailments. I trust you are doing the world good, as well as getting some pecuniary benefit to yourself, with your Pain- Killing Magie Oil. I am truly yours, N. E. COBLEIGH,

President Wesleyan University, Athens, East Tenn.

(" Please read the following editorial from the Pittsfield Sun, January 7, 1869.

RENNE'S MAGIC OIL-Ou Monday last, Mr. Jacob Traver, of HIndson, N. Y., a gentleman in his 79th year, an esteemed and influential citizen, and one of the Assessors of that city, ealled upon us to explain the wonderful effects of Renne's Magic Oil as applied to his own person, and showed us his limb. For more than twenty years Mr. Traver has been affieted with a sore limb, (his right leg below the knee). Which was very mneh swollen, and occasionally has been compelled to use a ernteh for six months at a time. He had consulted eminent physicians in his own city, and various parts of the country, all of whom told him that the sores upon his leg (sometimes as many as five in number and very deep), could not be healed. and if healed his life would be endangered. An Agent of Mr. Renne having assured Mr. Traver that the Magie Oil would effect a enre, if a cure was possible, he commenced its use, applying it faithfully. He has used some IS bottles, repeatedly pouring the Oil into the sores and bathing outside; the sores have healed, and Mr. Traver says he feels like a new man, and were his age renewed, he thinks he could indulge " the fan- tastic toel" as vigorously as in his youthful days. We consider this cure as one that deserves partienlar mention, and that in calling attention to it we are doing the publie a service. Persons similarly afflicted should call upon Mr. Traver if they wish additional facts. He takes great pleasure in commending the article that has been of so much benefit in his ease. 'The physicians whom he hnd formerly consulted, and who had treated the ease, are equally surprised with Mr. Traver at the remarkable cure.
