TOWN WARRANT.
WARRANT FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING, MARCH 3, 1919.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.
Worcester ss.
To either constable of the town of Milford, in said county, Greeting :
In the name of the commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town, qualified by law to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said town, on Monday, the third day of March, A. D. 1919, punctually at 5.45 o'clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following articles, namely :-
(The polls may be closed at four o'clock in the afternoon on said day of meeting.)
Article 1. To choose a moderator to preside at said meet. ing
Article 2. To choose all necessary town officers, a town clerk, town treasurer, tax collector, auditor, three selectmen, a highway surveyor, (for one year), one assessor, (for three years), one overseer of the poor, (for three years), one sewer commissioner, (for three years), two members of the school committee, (for three years), one member of the board of health, (for three years), two trustees of Public Library, (for three years), two trustees of Vernon Grove cemetery, (for three years), one park commissioner, (for three years), and five constables, (for one year), to be voted for on ballots prepared and furnished in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 835, Acts of 1913, and Acts in amendment thereto.

Also upon said ballots the voters shall give in their votes "Yes" or "No" in answer to the following question :
"Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town?"
Article 3. To hear and act upon the reports of the select- men, town clerk, treasurer, collector, assessors, overseers of the poor, sewer commissioners, auditor, school committee , trustees of town library, trustees of Vernon Grove cemetery, park commissioners, highway surveyor, chief of police, engi- neers of the fire department, town solicitor, inspector of ani- mals, inspector of wires, inspector of plumbing, sealer of weights and measures, and any other officers or committees of said town.
Article 4. To raise and appropriate such sum or sums of money as may be necessary to defray town expenses for the financial year ending December 31, 1919.
Article 5. To determine when all taxes for the year 1919 shall be due and payable, the time from which interest on unpaid taxes of said year shall be charged, and the compensa- tion of the collector of taxes for the year ensuing ..
Article 6. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One Hundred and Sixty-five Dollars ($165.00) towards defraying the expenses of Memorial Day.
Article 7. To see if the town will vote to authorize the selectmen to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the town.
Article 8. To see if the town will vote to authorize the treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen, to borrow money on and after January 1, 1920, in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1920.
Article 9. To see if the town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to provide aid, in accordance with the provi- sions'of Chapter 179, of the General Acts of 1917, and to au- thorize the treasurer to borrow said sum, or take any action relative thereto.
Article 10. To see if the town will vote to raise and ap-

propriate the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2.000 00) for the purpose of rebuilding Beach Street, from B. & A. railroad. crossing to Central Street, also for the building of curbstone sidewalks on said street, or take any action in relation there- to.
Article 11. To see if the town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum not exceeding Twenty-five Thousand Dollars, ($25,000.00), and will authorize the town treasurer to issue notes or bonds to an amount not exceeding Twenty five Thou- sand Dollars, ($25,000.00), at a rate of interest not exceeding six per cens per annum, payable semi-annually, for the pur- pose of extending its system of sewerage with particular refer. erence to the installation of additional siphons.
Article 12. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro priate the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars, ($250.00) for the purpose of repairing Grant Street Extension or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 13. To see if the town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars, ($350.00) for the purpose of extending the street lights on Cedar Street, from Charles River Driving Park Hall, so - called, to the residence of Peter Ross, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 14. To see if the town will vote to authorize the location of additional hydrants on East Main Street, from the present terminus of the Milford Water Compiny miin to the plant of the Milford 'Pink Granite Company, raise and appro- priate money therefor, or take any action in relation thereto.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at each of the Public Meet- ing Houses and at the Post Office in said Town ; also cause attested copies to be published in the Milford Daily News and Milford Gazette, newspapers published in said Town, Two Sabbaths at least before the time set for said meeting.
