VOTED: That the town authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1st, 1952, and to issue a note or notes therefore, payable within one year, and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Sec. 17, Chapter 44 of the G. L.

Article 4. VOTED: That the town vote to author- ize the Selectmen to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the town.

Article 6. VOTED: That the town authorize the Selectmen to sell any or all real estate owned by the Town by reason of the foreclosure of tax titles thereon and to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper deed or deeds therefor, authority therefor to terminate March 1st, 1952.
Articles 7 and 8. VOTED To lay these articles on the table for the time being.
Article 9. VOTED: That the Civilian Defense act be accepted as it appeared in the warrant including Sec- tion 1 to 6 inclusive.
Article 10. VOTED: To raise and appropriate the sum of Five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars for the purpose of carrying out a Civil Defense Program, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 639 of the Acts of 1950.

Article 13. VOTED: That the town vote to accept the Provisions of Mass. General Laws Chapter 820, of the Acts of 1950, an act which will provide an annual increase in the annual amount of any retirement allowance or other such payment (except Workmen's Compensation or similar) authorized for all public employees separated prior to November 1st, 1949, provided no increase shall be granted to any member now receiving an amount in excess of $2,000.00.

Article 21 VOTED: That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of One thousand ($1,000.00) dollars for the purpose of electrically lighting certain main street during the Christmas Holidays, to be expended under the supervision of a committee consisting of three (3) to be appointed by the Moderator.
Article 22. VOTED: That the town vote to author- ize the Sewer Commissioners to appoint a member of the Sewer Commission to the position of part-time Superin- tendent of Sewers and that the compensation of said appointee be Twelve hundred ($1,200.00) dollars, retro- active from January 1st, 1951, in compliance with Chap- ter 41, Section 4A of the General Laws (Ter. Ed.).
Article 23. VOTED: That the town vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 152, Sec. 69 G. L. (Ter. Ed.) as last amended by Statute 1939, Chapter 435, extending the provisions of said Chapter 152, to all employees ex- cept members of the police and fire departments.
Article 24. VOTED: To lay this matter on the table for the time being.
Article 25. VOTED: That the town transfer from the Parking Meter Collection Account the sum of Two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars to the Parking Meter Main- tenance Account.

The meeting was called to order by Moderator Cur- ran at 8 P.M. The Monitors checked the lists and there were 149 present a sufficient number to constitute a quorum and the meeting began by taking up Article 28.
Article 28. VOTED: That the Chief of the Fire Department be authorized to trade the 1947 Oldsmobile Sedan now owned by the Fire Department for the pur- pose of defraying a part of the cost in acquiring for the said Fire Department a new automobile for the use of the Fire Chief.
Article 29. VOTED: That the Town will vote to authorize the School Committee to sell any obsolete ma- terials, apparatus or equipment owned by the town and presently controlled by the School Committee.
It was moved and seconded to take Article 2 from the table.

A motion was made and seconded by Mr. Knox to raise and appropriate the sum of Four thousand six hundred fifty-seven dollars and eighty-eight ($4,657.88) cents for the Veterans' Services-Salaries.
An amendment was made to raise and appropriate the sum of Three thousand one hundred fifty ($3,150.00) dollars for Veterans'-Salaries and it was so voted.

Article 32. Lay-out of Congress Terrace Extention.
Beginning at a stone bound which marks the West- erly terminal of the Northerly line of Congress Terrace as accepted by the Town of Milford.
Thence :- Running Southwest on a curve having a radius of 69 feet a distance of 44 feet more or less to a point. Thence :- Running Southwesterly on a curve with a radius of 69 feet, curving towards the west, a distance of 44 feet more or less to a stone bound in the Northerly line of the proposed street.
Thence :- Running South 74º - 41' West a distance of 180 feet more or less to a stake, said stake being in the Easterly line of High St. if extended beyond the present layout.
Thence :- Running South 6° - 45' East along the above Easterly line of High Street if extended, a distance of 40.36 feet to a stake.

Thence :- Turning and running North 74° - 41' East a distance of 186 feet more or less to a stone bound at the end of a curve.
Thence: Running Northeast with a curve having a radius of 109 feet a distance of 90.35 feet to a point, said point being 2 feet west of a stone bound which marks the Westerly terminal of the Southerly side of Congress Ter- race as accepted by the Town of Milford.
Thence: Running Easterly 2 feet more or less to the above mentioned stone bound.
Thence: Running Northwesterly across present Congress Terrace 34.3 feet to point of beginning.

Article 36. VOTED: That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of Forty-four dollars and eighty-five ($44.85) cents for the payment of a 1950 unpaid bill of the Board of Health.
Article 37. VOTED: That the town vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One thousand eight hundred fifty ($1,850.00) dollars for the construction of a surface drainage system on Vine Street. Said money to be ex- pended under the supervision of the Highway Surveyor.
Article 38. VOTED: That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of Twenty one hundred thirty ($2,- 130.00) dollars for the purpose of purchasing and instal- ling a two-way radio equipment for the use of the Police and Fire Departments.
Article 39. Report of the Selectmen on the laying out of Della Street.
Beginning at a point 530 feet more or less from the stone bound at the southwesterly corner of the land formerly of one Tobin, said stone bound being at the westerly corner of the junction of Union Street and West Street, thence westerly over the land now or formerly called the Union Street Plat - N. 86° W-393 feet more or less to a stone wall at the land of one Sannicandro and one Smith. This street is to be laid out 40 feet wide and is to lie on the northerly side of the line described above as shown on the plan by the Planning Project E.R.A. James Luchini C. E. Supervisor, filed herewith.
The proposed street to be the same as the private way called Della Street on the plan of Union Street Plat of the Bartlett Land Co.

VOTED: That the town vote to accept and allow the report of the Selectmen on the laying-out of a public way, a private way known as Della Street, and to raise and appropriate the sum of Five hundred ($500.00) dol- lars for the construction of same.
Article 40. VOTED: To pass over the Article.
Article 41. VOTED: That the matter of establish- ing regulations relative to the construction, alteration and maintenance of buildings or other structures in accord- ance with the provisions of G. L. Chapter 143, Sec. 3, be referred to the Committee appointed by the Moderator under Article 18 of the 1950 Annual Town Warrant, and that the Committee report to the next Annual Town Meeting.
Article 42. It was moved and seconded that the town vote to create an off-street parking area committee said committee to be appointed by the Moderator and to consist of seven voters, including the members of the Board of Selectmen, Chief of the Police Department and Chief of the Fire Department and two other qualified vot- ers, vacancies in the committee to be filled by the Moder- ator in conformance with the personnel listed above, and to authorize said committee to purchase or lease pro- perties as directed by the Town Meeting and in the name of the Town to prepare plans, clear sites, award con- tracts, purchase materials, and to do any and all things necessary to complete the work of establishing and main- taining off-street parking areas, said committee to remain in existence until said committee is dissolved by vote of a Town Meeting.

The Street is to lie on the West of the above described line and is to be 33 feet wide, and bounded westerly by land of Keough and Brown. All of which is shown on "Plan showing layout of Orange Street, Milford, Mass., August 1950, Scale one inch equals 40 feet. By Eastman & Corbett, Inc., Civil Engineers, Milford, Mass."

Coolidge Road Layout
Beginning at a stone bound in the Northerly line of Harris Ave., said bound being the Westerly end of said Harris Avenue, northerly line. Thence: S 2º - 04' E across Harris Avenue to a stone bound which marks the westerly end of the southerly line of Harris Avenue.
Thence :- turning an interior angle of 178º-31' and run- ning S 0°-35' E and bounded Easterly by land of one Quinlan, 120 feet to a stone bound.
Thence :- turning an interior angle of 190°-05' and run- ning south 10°-40' E and bounded Easterly by land now or formerly of one Casey 148 feet to a stone bound.
Thence :- turning an interior angle of 185°-01' and run- ning south 15°41' East a distance of 249.5 feet to a stone bound, bounded Easterly by land N/F of one Casey and one Bernardi.
