Various departments presented motions for increases in their Salary and Wages Accounts. The question now came on the Finance Committee's Report as amended to raise and appropriate said monies for the various de- partments.

Article 57. Voted: That the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of Thirteen hundred ($1,300.00) dol- lars for electrically lighting certain main streets during the Christmas Holidays, to be expended under the super- vision of a committee consisting of three (3) to be ap- pointed by the Moderator.
At this time it was moved and seconded to take ac- tion on Article 7.
Voted: To appropriate from available funds under the Excess and Deficiency Account the sum of Seventy- five thousand ($75,000.00) dollars for use by the Board of Assessors in fixing the tax rate for 1952.

Article 61. It was moved and seconded that the Moderator appoint a committee of three men consisting of a member of the Board of Health, a member from the Town At Large and a member representing the Milford Dental Association to make a complete study concerning the flouridation of the water supply of Milford.
An amendment was made to the motion that "A re- port of the findings and recommendations be given at the next annual session of the Town."

Pursuant to a warrant signed by the Selectmen of Milford, the inhabitants of the Town of Milford, qualified by law to vote in Primaries met in State Armory, in said town on Tuesday, the 29th day of April, A.D. 1952 at 12 o'clock noon and the meeting was called to order by William V. Bellantonio, Chairman of Selectmen, Presid- ing Election Officer.
The Town Clerk read the Warrant and the Officer's return thereon. All legal requirements having been com- plied with, the business meeting began.
During the voting the ballot box was opened at 4:00 P.M., 5:30 P.M., 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. for the purpose of taking out, sorting and counting the ballots.
The polls were declared closed at 8 P.M.
There were 299 Democratic Ballots cast and 736 Republican Ballots cast. Total number 1035.
The result of the Democratic ballot was announced by the Town Clerk at 12:15 A.M. April 30th and the Re- publican ballot at 11:00 P.M. April 29th.

The Primary was held at the State Armory with Chairman William V. Bellantonio opening the polls at 10 A.M. The Town Clerk read the Warrant and the Of- ficer's return thereon. The Town Clerk also read the Warrant and the Officer's return thereon for the Rent Control.
All election officers were sworn in by the Town Clerk.
The ballot box was opened at 2:20 P.M. at which time it registered 600 regular. ballots; it was opened at 3:05 P.M. at which time it registered 723 Rent Control ballots; it was opened at 4:05 P.M. at which time it re- gistered 913 regulars; it was opened at 5:30 P.M. at which time it registered 1271 Rent Control ballots and 1290 regular ballots ; it was opened at 6:50 P.M. at which time it registered 650 Rent Control ballots and 1812 regular ballots; it was opened at 8 P.M. at which time it registered 2663 regular ballots and 2695 Rent Control ballots.

The meeting was called to order by Moderator John F. Curran at 8 P.M. The Monitors checked the lists and in the absence of Alfred B. Cenedella, Jr. in Precinct 3, the Moderator appointed Angelo F. Roberti a temporary monitor.
There were 129 members present, a sufficient num- ber to constitute a quorum so the Moderator called upon the Clerk to read the Warrant and the Officer's Return.
Article 1. Voted: That the Town vote to appro- priate from Excess and Deficiency funds in the Treasury the sum of Six thousand ($6,000.00) dollars, for use in the Veterans' Services Expense Account.
Article 2. Voted: That the Town appropriate from available funds in the Treasury the sum of Fifteen thou- sand six hundred ($15,600.00) dollars, for use by the Board of Public Welfare for the Old Age Assistance Account.
Article 3. Voted: That the Town vote to transfer Eight thousand ($8,000.00) dollars, from the Aid to De- pendent Children Account to the Disability and General Relief Account.
Article 4. Voted: That the Town vote to appropri- ate by transfer the sum of Five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars from the unexpended balance remaining from funds which were raised and appropriated under Article 14 at the Annual Town Meeting held on March 20th, 1952, so that said money may be used for similar purposes, namely, for the extension of sewers on Congress Street from a point opposite the residence of Edward L. Mitchell

for a distance of 400 feet north of the above named location.
Article 5. Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of twelve hundred ($1,200.00) dollars, from the Ex- cess and Deficiency fund available in the Treasury for the purpose of extending the Fire Alarm System on Con- gress Street, a distance of approximately forty-five hun- dred (4500) feet.
Article 6. Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of Five hundred ($500.00) dollars, by transfer from the appropriation made for the Installation of Lighting Equipment at Fino Field for the purpose of extending the Fire Alarm System from Fairview Road to Woodland Avenue, a distance of approximately Seventeen hundred (1700) feet.
It was moved and seconded to dissolve the warrant at 8:30 P.M.
