L. Chap. 44, Section 7, Clause 1 as amend- cd, so that the whole loan shall be payable in not more than 20 years from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier time as the Treasurer may deter- mine. Said money to be expended under the supervision of the Department of Public Works.

Voted: That the Town vote to insruct its Board of Selectmen to investigate the advisability, and determine the cost, of constructing a public highway paral- lel to East Main Street, from Prairie Street to Hamilton Street, and to report their findings to any future Town Meeting, but not later than the Annual Town Meeting of 1958, and that the sum of One hundred and fifty ($150.00) dollars be raised and appropriated for this purpose.

Voted: That the Town vote to authorize the Moderator to appoint a committee of three (3) citizens, one to be chairman, of the Board of Assessors, to investi- gate the advisability of revaluing the real estate and land values of the Town of Milford and to report back at the next annual town meeting.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, SEPTEMBER 17, 1957 COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
The meeting was called to order by Moderator John F. Curran at 8 P. M. The Monitors reported 165 persons were present.
The Moderator informed the meeting of vacancies in certain precincts and elections were held. The results showed that Nicholas DeMaria, 54 Jefferson Street, was elected for a one (1) year term to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Edward J. Reynolds in Precinct 1. John A. Costantino, 7 Rogers Street, was elected for a three (3) year term to fill the vacancy caused by the removal from town of John L. Abretti in Precinct 2. Pomeroy Edwards, 25 Forest Street, was elected for a three (3) year term to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Leo Gallagher in Precinct 3. James Maher, 55 So. Bow Street, was elect- ed for a two (2) year term to fill the vacancy caused by removal from town of William J. Dalton in Precinct 3.
Article 1. Voted: That the Town vote to establish a committee of three (3) to be known as the Personnel Board, appointed by the Board of Selectmen to study the salaries, wages, hours and duties of all paid town officers and employees except school employees, such Board to make a report with its recommendations to the Town Meeting seasonably before 1958 Annual Town Meeting; and to appropriate the sum of Fifteen hundred ($1500.00)

At this point Arthur E. LeBlanc, Chairman of the Planning Board obtained the floor and stated to the as- sembly that the Planning Board recommended that this article be acted upon favorably.
