On motion of Mr. French, it was unan- imously voted that the Town, through its Selectmen, purchase or take by eminent domain for any and all municipal purposes, land off Tremont Street belong- ing to Mary Leatherbee, contiguous to that taken under vote of the Town at the Special Town Meeting of July 26, 1926, and it hereby raises and appropriates the sum of $1,050.00 to be expended by the Selectmen, so far as may be necessary to pay for the same.


ELECTRIC LIGHT DEPARTMENT


Article 95. Voted that the Town appropriate from the income of the Electric Light Department, the sum of $12,923.07 for Depreciation Fund; the sum of $300.00 for the salaries of the Municipal Light Board ; the sum of $10,000.00 for the Bonds, and the balance together with the unexpended balance of $5,815.00 of the year 1926, for operating expenses, renewals, re- pairs and new construction.


WATER DEPARTMENT


Article 96. Voted that the Town appropriate from the income of the Water Department the sum of $300.00 for salaries of the Water Commissioners and the balance for operating expenses, extensions, renew- als, repairs, new construction and expenses of said department.

Voted that a committee of three be appointed by the Moderator to do whatever may be necessary and not later than the next Annual Town Meeting to sub- mit to the voters the following questions :


(1) Shall the Town abolish the office of High- way Surveyor.


(2) Shall the Town direct its Selectmen to make a division of the Town into not less than 5 convenient voting precincts.


(3) Shall the Town accept Section 25-A, Chap- ter 41, of the General Laws.


(4) Shall the Town adopt the limited Town Meeting form of government.

On motion of Mr. Anderson, it was voted that the time for filing the report of the Committee appointed to make a study of the methods by which the system of governing the Town's affairs may be improved be extended to the Annual Town Meeting of 1928.

Section 3. At the Annual Town Meeting to be held in the month of March, 1928, there shall be elected two members to serve for one year, two mem- bers to serve for two years and one member to serve for three years, and thereafter there shall be elected at the annual meeting for three-year terms members to fill the vacancies.

Hall; and it hereby raises and ap- propriates the sum of $630.00 to be expended by the Selectmen, so far as necessary to pay for the same.
