UNDER ARTICLE FORTY ONE: On a motion made by John L. Dusseault, it was voted to accept a portion of the easterly section of Hornbeam Hill Road as laid out by the Selectmen and shown by their report and plan filed in the office of the Town Clerk on Feb. 26, 1948.

UNDER ARTICLE FORTY SIX: In regard to the appropri- ation for money for parking lot at Chelmsford Centre, it was voted to dismiss this article.
UNDER ARTICLE FORTY SEVEN: In regard to the parking lot at North Chelmsford it was voted to dismiss this article.
UNDER ARTICLE FORTY EIGHT: In regard to the appro- priation for money in regard to the parking lot at North Chelmsford, it was voted to dismiss this article.
It was voted to accept the report of the School Committee and the report of Superintendent of Schools for the year 1946.

To: Lawrence W. Chute, a Constable of the Town of Chelmsford or any suitable person of the Town of Chelmsford:
GREETING:
In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Chelmsford, who are qualified to vote in elections, to meet in their several polling places viz:
Precinct One-Town Hall, Chelmsford Centre
Precinct Two-Town Hall, North Chelmsford
Precinct Three-Fire House, West Chelmsford
Precinct Four-School House, East Chelmsford
Precinct Five-Liberty Hall, South Chelmsford Precinct Six-Westland School House
On Tuesday, the second day of November, 1948, being the first Tuesday after the first Monday in said month, at ten a.m. for the following purposes:
To bring in their votes for the following officers:
Presidential Electors Governor-for this Commonwealth
Lieutenant Governor-for this Commonwealth
Secretary of the Commonwealth-for this Commonwealth Treasurer and Receiver-General-for this Commonwealth
Auditor of the Commonwealth-for this Commonwealth Attorney General-for this Commonwealth
Senator in Congress
Representative in Congress for the Fifth Congressional Dist. Councillor-for Third Councillor District
Senator-for First Senatorial District One Representative in General Court-for 11th Rep. District Register of Probate and Insolvency -

QUESTION No. 1. Do you approve of the adoption of an amend- ment to the constitution summarized below which was approved by the General Court in a joint session of the two branches held June 28, 1945, received 227 votes in the affirmative and 0 in the negative, and in a joint session of the two branches held June 9, 1947, received 232 votes in the affirmative and 8 in the negative ?

SUMMARY
This proposed amendment to the Constitution adds to the decla- ration of the rights of the inhabitants, as now set forth in the Consti- tution, the following: "The right of free speech shall not be abridged."
QUESTION No. 2. Do you approve of the adoption of an amend- ment to the constitution summarized below which was approved by the General Court in a joint session of the two branches held June 6, 1946, received 220 votes in the affirmative and 28 in the negative, and in a joint session of the two branches held June 9, 1947, received 228 votes in the affirmative and 5 in the negative ?
