REPORT OF THE TOWN CLERK
ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account the sum of thirty-five ($35) dollars to the Town Clerk other expense account; or act in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 13. To see if the Town will vote to accept from Harry J. Roche the following lots of land situated at Twist Road in North Chelmsford: Lots numbered 370-371-372 and 373 on a plan of land entitled "Anglus Park" recorded in the Middlesex North Registry of Deeds, Plan Book 48, Plan 73. SPECIAL TOWN MEETING October 22nd, 1948
At a Special Town Meeting held in the Upper Town Hall at Chelmsford Centre on October 22nd, 1948, the following business was transacted, the meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Moderator John C. Monahan and Town Clerk Harold C. Petterson was requested to read the Warrant, after the Warrant was partly read, on a motion by Arthur Nystrom it was voted to waive the further reading of the Warrant.
UNDER ARTICLE ONE. On a motion made by Albert J. Lupien, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $2,500.00 for the purpose of purchasing and installing a new boiler in the East Chelmsford School building.
UNDER ARTICLE TWO. On a motion made by Albert J. Lupien, it was voted to transfer from the New Equipment account to Repairs and Supplies account in the School Committee budget the sum of $1,200.00.
UNDER ARTICLE THREE. On a motion made by Raymond H. Greenwood, it was voted to transfer from the Machinery Fund to the Machinery account the sum of $500.00.
UNDER ARTICLE FOUR. On a motion made by Allan Kidder, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $325.00 for the purpose of purchasing a new portable pump for the Forest Fire Department.
UNDER ARTICLE FIVE. On a motion made by Allan Kidder, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $1,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing a new pump for the Forest Fire Department.
UNDER ARTICLE SIX. On a motion made by Carl A. E. Peter- son, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $350.00 for the purpose of paying additional premiums for insurance policies on the public buildings.
UNDER ARTICLE SEVEN. On a motion made by Raymond H. Greenwood it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account the sum of $25.00 to pay an unpaid bill for 1947 incurred by the Highway Department. This vote was unanimous.
UNDER ARTICLE EIGHT. On a motion made by Raymond H. Greenwood to transfer the sum of $9,500.00 to purchase a snow fighter for the Highway Department, 36 voted yes, and 47 voted no, the motion was lost.

UNDER ARTICLE NINE. On a motion made by T. W. Emerson, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account the sum of $1500.00 for the purpose of purchasing and installing a new oil burner in the Chelmsford Centre Town Hall.
UNDER ARTICLE TEN. In regard to the appropriation of $500.00 for the purpose of collecting Water District Taxes, on a motion made by Harold C. Petterson, it was voted to dismiss this article.
UNDER. ARTICLE ELEVEN. In regard to the Assessment of taxes for the Water District and the appropriating of $500.00 therefor, on a motion made by Warren Wright. it was voted to dismiss this article.
UNDER ARTICLE TWELVE. On a motion made by Harold C. Petterson, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $35.00 to the Town Clerk's expense account.
UNDER ARTICLE THIRTEEN. On a motion made by Harold C. Petterson, it was voted to accept from Harry J. Roche the following lots of land situated on Twist Road in North Chelmsford, Lots 370- 371-372 and 373 on a plan of land entitled Anglus Park and recorded the Middlesex North District Registry of Deeds Plan Book 48 Plan 73 and subject to all taxes and tax titles held by the Town of Chelms- ford.
UNDER ARTICLE FOURTEEN. On a motion by Carl A. E. Peterson, it was voted to accept Wilson Lane as laid out by the Board of Selectmen as shown by their report and plan duly filed in the office of the Town Clerk.

UNDER ARTICLE SEVENTEEN. On a motion made by Ray- mond H. Greenwood, it was voted to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency account the sum of $1,200.00 for the purpose of re- constructing Arbor Road Extension.
UNDER ARTICLE EIGHTEEN. 'On a motion made by Raymond H. Greenwood, and an amendment made thereto by Harold C. Petterson, that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to rent to the Chelmsford Water District an office in the basement of the Chelmsford Centre Town Hall, the rent to be $20.00 each month from the date of occupancy, and it was so voted.

Tegelberg sometimes called Ruth G. Robinson, as shown on a plan, 101.74 feet; Northwesterly by land of said Ruth G. Tegelberg, as shown on a plan 12.00 feet; containing, according to plan 1,325 sq. ft. plus.
Parcel #2, being bounded as follows: Northeasterly in a curved line by the present Southwesterly line of Groton Road, as shown on a plan, 110.29 feet; Southwesterly by land of said Ruth Tegelberg by two courses, as shown on a plan, a total distance of 111.14 feet and Southeasterly by parcel #1 as shown on a plan 12.0 feet; containing according to a plan 1,205 sq. ft. plus, as shown on a "Plan of taking by the Town of Chelmsford for widening Vinal Square, North Chelms- ford October 1948; J.
