"Since our last meeting, in the early morning of yes- terday, a member of the Limited Town Meeting has passed to the Great Beyond. He was one of Saugus' most respected citizens.
In his home-his church-his club and in the business world his life exemplified the highest type of character- honesty and ability.
His success was the result of his business ability com- bined with absolute honesty and square dealing with those with whom he had business relations.
I have never heard a person say one word concerning him except by way of admiration and esteem.
This cannot be truthfully said of very many persons in any community.
I know our town has suffered a distinct loss in the passing of our neighbor and fellow citizen, Karl Leon Norris.
WILLIAM E. LUDDEN."
'I ask consent that the few words I have said become a part of the record of this meeting.'
The Moderator appointed and duly qualified the following Tellers, Ernest W. Homan, Benjamin Ramsdell, Frank Humphries, and Charles L. Putney.
