ARTICLE 1. To choose a moderator.


Art. 2. To see if the town will accept the report of its Selectmen upon the laying out of alterations in the line of Washington Street and of Broad Street along the land of Bertha F. Clapp at and near the junction of said streets.


Art. 3. To see if the town will take any action in rela- tion to raising and equipping a State Guard Company and will raise and appropriate any sum of money for that pur- pose.


Art. 4. To see if the town will ratify and confirm its ac- tion taken at the special meeting held on September 28, 1917, under article five of the warrant for said meeting in so far as said action related to the issuing of bonds for a loan of $40,000 for the purpose of building a new almshouse.


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting a copy hereof, attested by you in writing, in each of two public places in each voting precinct in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.


Pursuant to the foregoing warrant a meeting of the inhabi- tants of the Town of Weymouth was held at the Odd Fel- lows' Opera House on Friday evening, December 14th, 1917, the meeting being called to order at 8.15 o'clock in the even- ing and the warrant was read by the Town Clerk.


ARTICLE 1. Hon. George L. Barnes was elected as Modera- tor and the oath was administered to him by the Town Clerk.


The question of a quorum not being present was raised. The Moderator appointed Robert S. Hoffman and Walter W. Pratt as Tellers and administered the oath to them.

They reported that but 73 voters were present.


Voted, That all matters contained in the warrant be re- ferred to the Annual Town Meeting. Voted, To adjourn.
