Mr. John Griffin moved: That the Selectmen be instructed to pur- chase the land known as Weymouth Fair Grounds, and the sum of $17,900 be raised and appropriated for said purpose.
By unanimous consent Mr. Callahan withdrew his motion for the previous question.

Article 20. John W. Heffernan moved: That the subject matter of this article be referred to the Police Department, Mr. Frank A. Pray : moved :
That the sum of $4,750. be raised and appropriated to install a traffic light system at Independence Square.

Mr. Archibald Mclellan moved: That a sum of money be raised and appropriated to repair, alterations and renovations to the Town Hall, and the sum of $7,200. be expended by the Selectmen for that purpose. Not a vote.

The tellers reported 56 in favor and 73 opposed.
Mr. Fred V. Nolan being appointed and sworn in place of Mr. Bas- tey who was absent.
