REPORT OF THE WEYMOUTH RETIREMENT SYSTEM

Weymouth, Mass., January 27, 1941.

To the Honorable Board of Selectmen

and the Citizens of Weymouth:

The Weymouth Retirement Board submits the following report of its activities during the year 1940.

Francis L. Gaughen, whose term expired on July 1, 1940, was ap- pointed by the Selectmen for an additional three year term and at the organization meeting was elected Chairman of the Board. Emerson R. Dizer was elected Secretary while Harold S. Gardner continues as the other member.

We have had occasion during the year to retire one member for superannuation and one for ordinary disability.

By virtue of the membership of two of our firemen, who lost their lives in the performance of their duties, the benefits of the system were accorded their widows and children.

We now have 20 members receiving monthly allotments, for super- annuation and ordinary disability, of varying amounts as well as the two beneficiaries from accidental deaths.
