To see if the Town will amend its Zon- ing By-law by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in a Business District all or any portion of the area on the northerly side of Massachusetts Ave- nue now included in a General Residence District, one hundred twenty-five (125) feet from and parallel with the northerly side line of Massachusetts Avenue from the westerly side line of Henderson Street to the easterly side line of Windsor Street and from the westerly side line of Trowbridge Street to the eastery side line of Marathon Street; or take any action relating thereto.

That the Town's Zoning By-law be amended by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in a Business District, all the land bor- dering on Lake Street on the southerly side thereof for a depth of one hundred (100) feet and parallel with the southerly side line of Lake Street, bounded by Wilson Avenue westerly, and by the existing easterly side iine of property now owned by John J. Lyons, easterly and now in a General Residence District; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 71. To determine what sum of money the Town shall raise by general tax to defray town expenses, overdrafts of 1925, interest, debt and state aid, and make an appropriation for the same.


And you will notify and warn the voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the times and places herein specified by leaving at every dwelling house in the Town a printed copy of this Warrant, and also by posting a copy of the same at the doors of the Town Hall, and in a conspicuous place in each of the seven precincts of the Town, seven days at least prior to the time of said meet- ing.


Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this War- rant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before said day and hour of meeting.

CONSTABLE'S RETURN


Arlington, Mass., February 23, 1926. Middlesex County :


By virtue of this Warrant I have notified and warned the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the times and places and for the purposes herein named by causing a printed attested copy of the same to be left at every dwelling house in the Town, and by posting an attested copy at the doors of the Town Hall seven days at least before said day of meeting and by posting at- tested copies in two or more conspicuous places in each voting precinct in the Town. A notice of the times, places and objects of the meetings was published in the local paper.

In pursuance of the foregoing Warrant the legal voters of the Town of Arlington met in their respective voting places in said Town on Monday, the first day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hun- dred and twenty-six at seven o'clock in the forenoon.


On account of the crowded condition of the voting place at the Crosby School Building a new voting place in the Hardy School Building was established. The fol- lowing places were designated as the voting places for the various precincts: Precinct 1, Crosby School Build- ing, Winter Street; Precinct 2, Hardy School Building, Lake Street; Precincts 3, 4, 5 and 6, Robbins Memorial Town Hall; Precinct 7, Locke School Building, Park Avenue.

performance of their duties. The necessary ballots pre- pared for each precinct and all other paraphernalia for the proper conduct of the election was supplied by the Town Clerk and turned over to the officers of the various precincts.


The polls were declared open in each precinct at seven o'clock in the morning and remained open until eight o'clock in the evening, at which time after due notice they were declared closed.


The ballots were counted by the election officers in each precinct, the tally sheets and total tally sheets pre- pared by the Town Clerk, being used.


The ballots cast, after being counted, were enclosed in envelopes, sealed, signed by the election officers, and encased in wooden boxes which were locked and the same were delivered to the Registrars of Voters in the Town Clerk's Office.


The Town Clerk and Registrars of Voters upon re- ceipt of the returns from the several precincts forthwith canvassed the same and announced the result. Precinct 1 2 4
