Article 45. To see if the Town will approve the petition of the Joint Board of Selectmen and Board of Public Works to the Honorable Senate and House of Representatives, for legislation to amend chapter 249 of the Acts of 1897, being "An Act to establish a Board of Survey for the Town of Arling- ton" and for legislation to provide for the making of new plans, the changing of plans, the entering upon lands and making examinations and surveys, the placing and maintaining of monuments and marks, and the liability for damages in con- nection therewith, all substantially as set forth in the bill accompanying said petition, filed in January, 1927; or take any action in relation to said petition, the amendment of said chapter or anything hereinbefore mentioned.

To see if the Town will accept section one hundred and twenty A (120A) of chapter ninety-four (94) of the General Laws, inserted by section 2 of chapter 496 of the Acts of 1924, relating to the payment of further fees by licensees to carry on the business of slaughtering neat cattle, sheep or swine, in addition to the annual fee under section one hundred nineteen (119) of said chapter ninety-four (94), as amended; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 58. To see if the Town will, in addition to the annual fee under section one hundred nineteen (119) of chapter ninety-four (94) of the General Laws, as amended, for a license to carry on the business of slaughtering neat cattle, sheep or swine, require the payment by the licensee of a further fee not exceeding one dollar for each animal slaughtered under such license, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty A (120A) of said chapter, inserted by section 2 of chapter 496 of the Acts of 1924; determine the amount of such further fee; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 59. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the improvement, development and use of the playground situated between the "High School Lot" and the land of the Boston & Maine Railroad; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

By virtue of this Warrant I have notified and warned the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the times and places and for the purposes herein named by causing a printed attested copy of the same to be left at every dwelling house in the Town, and by posting an attested copy at the doors of the Town Hall seven days at least before said day of meeting and by posting attested copies in two or more conspicuous places in each voting precinct in the Town. A notice of the times, places and objects of the meetings was published in the local paper.
