On motion of Ralph W. Allen it was voted that a committee consisting of seven members be appointed by the Moderator for the purpose of studying the advisability of the Town adopting the repre- sentative form of town meeting government and that such committee report at the Annual Town Meeting to be held in March 1942 or at any Special Town Meeting held prior thereto. The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading, having deter- mined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require that the public highways be laid out, relocated or altered as and in the location hereinafter described, having complied with all requirements

The boundaries and measurements of said public highways as so laid out, relocated or altered are as follows :
Beginning at a point on the Southerly side line of said Prescott Street, said point being N. 70° - 44' - 00" E., a distance of 455.89 feet measured along said Southerly side line of Prescott Street from a stone bound set at the intersection of the Southerly side line of Prescott Street with the Easterly side line of Sunnyside Avenue;
Thence N. 70° - 44' - 00" E., by said Southerly side line of said Prescott Street, a distance of 24.04 feet to the present point of inter- section of the Westerly side line of said Washington Street with said Southerly side line of said Prescott Street, with said point being S. 70° - 44' - 00" W., a distance of 631.14 feet measured along said South- erly side line of Prescott Street, from a stone bound set at the inter- section of said Southerly side line of Prescott Street with the Westerly side line of Lincoln Street.

Article 26. On motion of Victor E. Pitkin it was voted to take this Article from the table.
On motion of John Devaney it was voted that the sum of ($250.00) Two Hundred Fifty Dollars be raised and appropriated to be used by the Board of Public Works for the preparation of plans for the im- provement of the Mineral Street Bridge, including in such plans a pro- vision for a sidewalk thereon.
Article 41. On motion of Frank A. Gallagher it was voted to take up Article 41.
On motion of Richard A. Skane it was voted that the Board of Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to secure as suitable headquarters for Reading Post 62 of the American Legion, the prem- ises situated on the Westerly side of Ash Street known as Victory House and that the sum of Fifteen Hundred ($1500) Dollars be raised and appropriated as rent for such premises for the year 1941.
