SELECTMEN'S REPORT
To the Citizens of the Town of Wilmington :
We were fortunate in again securing the services of Mr. Wm. H. Carter as Supt. of Streets, and although his record in fourteen consecutive years was entitled to great praise, his work for the year 1905 surpasses any of his former efforts. The question of procur- ing good material for the streets has now become of vital impor- tance. We advise the purchase of an improved, up-to-date road machine, by the aid of which, in making a proper formation, one- half the material now used could be saved.
In the table of expenditures will be seen some few depart- ments that have exceeded the appropriations but in the aggregate it will be found there is an unexpended balance.
We suggest a liberal appropriation for repairs of public build- ings, as it is absolutely necessary to paint the High and Walker School buildings, and shingle the Town Hall.
Respectfully submitted,
JAMES E. KELLEY, GEORGE W. BUCK, JOHN W. HATHAWAY,
Selectmen of Wilmington.
