The constitutional convention of 1907-8 consisted of 96 delegates, who were elected September 17, 1907, according to the provisions of Act No. 272 of 1907. Three dele- gates were elected from each of the thirty-two senatorial districts as districted by Act No. 264 of 1895. . The convention convened at Lansing, October 22, 1907, and com- pleted the revision March 3, 1908. The new constitution was submitted to the people November 3, 1908, pursuant to a writ 'of mandamus issued out of the supreme court March 9, 1908, and adopted by a vote of 244,705 to 130,783.
