REPORT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

In presenting our annual report, the School Board would also make the following remarks. On account of Scarlet Fever prevailing in the West District, we thought it best to close that school for two weeks.

After the fall term of school began, Diptheria broke out in Town, which made it necessary to close the Primary school in village for two weeks.

The daily attendance at North and West schools have improved greatly the past year. Village Primary where we ought to have our best attendance, we are sorry to say, ranks the lowest.

We think if the parents would take more interest with their children, better results would be obtained at this school.

Have during the year improved the sanitary condition at the Grammar and West schools.

Also have done needed repairs at all the School houses.

As the windows at Grammar school are in such poor condition, we recommend new windows, also to have this building painted.

Under Laws passed 1909, we shall need the following sums of money for ensuing year.

Text books and supplies,

$80 00

Flags and appertainances,

8 00

Tuition,

100 00

We recommend the sum of $150.00 be appropriated for repairs during the coming year.
