Report of Overseer of Poor.

My report this year must of a necessity, be very commonplace. There has been no extraordinary ex- penses and only a slight increase in the number of poor helped by the town. The cost of town poor for the year is somewhat larger than last year. This could not very well be avoided, as last year was probably a minimum in the cost. The following is the statement for the town :

Total cost

$ 726 26

Received from county

$ 156 00

Less amount due 1901

51 00

$ 105 00

Due from county

51 00

$ 156 00

$ 570 26

Less Joseph Colby's account

56 20

Net cost $ 514 06

As usual I have taken Joseph Colby's support from the cost. Last year he had a balance credit of $139.15: taking the cost this year, $56.20 ont and his balance will be $82.95.

The totals for town and country are $1,679.73, as against $1,725.12 last year, a decrease of $61.84.

There are no outstanding bills against the town.

The following is the financial statement :
