H., Jan. 15, 1795, Phebe Archer, b., Jan. 15, 1772; d., Jan. 15, 1826; m. 3d, Jan. 24, 1827, Betsey Knight of Sudbury, Mass., d., May 19, 1871, ae. 95 yrs. 10 mos.


He served in the Revolution, and was in the Battle of White Plains. February, 1794, he moved to D., where he was or- dained pastor of the Baptist Church, and remained such until his death. He united one hundred and forty-six couples in marriage; and his health remained so firm that, only four weeks before his death, he preached a funeral sermon.
