Charles Richard Applegate, age 6 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abijah Applegate of Englishtown, died on Friday at Fitkin Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Funeral ser- vices were held on Monday at 2:30 p. m., at the home of his parents, with the Rev. Robert H. Buche, pastor of Central Presbyterian chureb of New York, formerly pas- tor at Englishtown, officiating. In- terment was made at Old Tennent church, under the direction of J. Laird Hulse.

Mrs. Helen Abbot, wife of Joseph Abbot of Parker Street, died on Tuesday morning at Monmouth Memorial hospital, where she was taken on Monday as a medical pa- tient, in the Potter & Son ambu- lance.

SOUTHARD WOMAN KILLED IN CRASH

Mrs. Zinaida Axenenkoff, 48, of Southard. died on Monday at Paul Kimball hospital, Lakewood, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident a few hours before, on Route 4, a few miles north of Toma River.
She was a passenger in a car driv- en by her husband, Michael, a How- el' township poultry farmer, which collided with a car driven by John Henderson, Fulton avenue, Lake- wood. Henderson was ordered to be 'held in the county jail to await hearing before Justice of the Peace Benjamin J. Novins, Toms River. He is charged with causing death with an automobile.
Mrs. Axenenkoff suffered a frac- ture of the right arm and leg and internal injuries.
The body was removed to the C. H. T. Clayton and Son Funeral home at Adelphia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Axen- enkoff were held on Monday at 8 p. m., at St. Alexander's Church, Southard. Interment was made in Wocdlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.

William Albright, of Woodbury, died Tuesday at the Stacy Trent hotel in Trenton. He was 66 years old. Mr. Albright had just return- ed from Florida.
He was a prominent Republican official, being state treasurer; and was also a state senator from Glou- cester county.

Allen Hause, Shrewsbury
In the colonial village of Shrewsbury, in Monmouth County, will be found a sub- stantial two-story structure at the corner of Broad Street and Sycamore Avenue, across from Christ Church. This house with gam- breled roof, was built in 1667 and is said to be the oldest in Monmouth County. During the Revolution it was used as a tavern. John George Ammann of West Freehold, celebrated his 80th birth- day on Sunday. He is in excellent health and frequently walks from his home to Freehold.
He was born in Baden, in south- ern Germany. He came to Amer- ica, and direct to Frechold, arriv- Ing here ca December 20, 1877. He came to the home of bis sister, Mrs. de la Reussille, arriving on Satur- day night, and by coincidence se- cured a job as baker in the William Butcher bakery, then on East Main Strect, where Aumack's confection- cry is now located. He later work- ed in New York City and Boston, and then returned to his former employment here.
He was married in 1883 to Leah Heckman, and they operated a hak- cry in Freehold, on West Main Street, where the Western Auto Store is now located, and where Mr. Ammann's son, Edward, operat- ed a confectionery store for a num- ber of years. They later moved to Asbury Park, where Mrs. Ammann dird four years ago. Mr. Ammann returned to Freehold to live about

Mrs. William Roscoe Musc has announced the marriage of hcr niece, Anna Virginia Dickerson, tc Ralph Terrill Baker on Monday, the 22nd of July at the chapel of the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.
Mr. and Mrs. Baker will make their home et the St. Denis Apart- nient, A-6, Newport News, Va.

Mrs. Annie M. Bogart, aged 84 years, died at her home at River Plaza on Tuesday morning. She i was the widow of Jeremiah Bogart. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the C. H. T. Clayton funeral home ac Adelphia, with Rev. William B. Magsam, pastor of the Adelphia Methodist church, officiating. In- terment will be made In Old Ten- rent cemetery in charge of Direc- tor Clayton.

Paul K. Boettcher, aged 48 years, a musician who resided on the Freehold-Lakewood road, died on Sunday at Monmouth Memorial hos- pital at Long Branch. Funeral ser- vices will be held this (Thursday) morning at 11 o'clock at the C. II. T. Clayton & Son funeral home at ¡Adelphia, with Rev. l'aul J. L. Rowoldt of the Lakewood Lutheran church, officiating. Cremation will follow at Linden. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Engel Boettcher; and two sisters, who live in Germany.
Mrs. Sarah Jane Burdge
Mrs. Sarah Jane Burdge, aged 82 years, widow of Edward F. Burdge, died on Monday at her home on the Squankum-Lakewood road. Funeral services will be held this morning at the Thomas R. Hardy funeral home at Belmar. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery at Farmingdale.
