Born at Batavia. N. Y., February 14, 1847. Mustered in, July 25, 1862. Musician, Co. F. One of the youngest members of the regiment, being only fifteen years old. Served in the 28th as Marker until May, 1863, when he, with other recruits, was assigned to the ioth Maine Battalion, then acting Provost Guard at General Slocum's Headquarters, and was detailed as messenger boy for General Slocum. After the 12th Corps went to Tennessee he served in the ranks Remained with the roth Maine, which was consolidated with the 29th Maine, and sent from louisiana back to Virginia, Was under Sheridan in the Shenandoah Campaign. He was wounded in the abdomen at Cedar Creek, Va., October 19, 1864. Mus- tered ont, May 31, 1865. Returned to Nunda and en- gagged in painting until he became blind in 1878.
HENRY DYKEMAN, ENTERPRISE, PA.
Born at Aurora, Erie Co., N. Y., 1842. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as private in Co. F. Discharged, June 3, 1862, for disability, at Baltimore, Md. Re-enlisted in the One hundred and sixty-fifth, New York Volunteers. Mr. Dykeman is very ingenious in the use of a knife. A specimen of his handiwork is shown in the picture. This he made for the I. O. O. F. of Grand Valley, Pa., with a jackknife and tack hammer.

Was Principal of Auburn, N. Y., Business College from 1863 to 1868, when he was sent to Colorado by Auburn bankers to operate gold mines. Has been engaged in mining most of the time since. In 1872 discovered and worked the famous "Saco Silver Mine." In 1874 he.con- structed a wagon road in sixty days over the main range of the Rocky Mountains at a cost of more than $50,cco, and bridged Grand River, thus opening for settlement the Middle Park of the Rocky Mountains which now forms the County of Grand. He is one of the County Commis- sioners of Grand County.

FRANCIS M. WADSWORTH, TOLEDO, ORE.
Born at Perrysburg, O., December 14, 1836. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as Corporal, Co. I. Wounded in action at Cedar Mountain, August 9, 1862. Discharged Novem- ber 4, 1862, at General Hospital, Alexandria, Va., on account of wounds. Has been an invalid ever since the shot tore through his right lung, at Cedar Mountain, which, with other wounds received at the same battle, incapacitated him for further service.
Removed to Oregon in 1865. Represented Benton County, in the state legislature, in 1880. Was Indian agent at Siletz from 1883 to 1887, and in the internal revenue service from 1890 to 1894. Lives at Toledo, Ore., on Yaquina Bay, near the Pacific oecan.
MYRON F. WARFIELD, RUSHVILLE, N. Y.
Born at Potter, Yates County, N. Y., April 26, 1836. Enlisted, May 10, 1861, as private in Co. E. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as Ist Sergeant. Promoted 2d Lieutenant, June 28, 1862. SYLVESTER S. MARVIN, PITTSBURGH, PA.

Is a member of Duquesne Post 259, Department of Pennsylvania, G. A. R. In 1863 he started a wholesale bakery at Pittsburgh, which has grown to be one of the largest and best equipped in the country. He is a very patriotic citizen, having erected during the past few years in Pittsburgh and vicinity, at his own expense, and pre- sented to the city, four flag staffs and flags, the latest being a monument and flag staff combined. It is 150 feet high and is built of steel. It is a lesson in patriotism.

The following July he went to Indiana, where he remained until April, 1860, when he moved to Wisconsin. He has held several positions of publie trust, both elective and appointive. Having been elected clerk of the Circuit and County Courts, in 1882, '83 and '84 ; for several years was Deputy Collector of Internal Revenue, which posi- tion came to him unsought. Was wounded in the head and right arm, and captured at Cedar Mountain, Va., August 9, 1862. Taken to Richmond and spent four weeks in Libby Prison. Paroled September 7, 1862, at Richmond, Va. Mustered out, June 2, 1863
He is a carpenter and joiner and resides at Lockport, N. Y., where he works at his trade when able.

ST. JOHNS, MICH.
Born in 1840. Enlisted, April 29, 1861, at Lockport, N. V. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as private in Co. K. Captured at Cedar Mountain, Va., August 9, 1862. Was taken to Libby prison for one night, then to Belle Isle for five weeks. Paroled at Aikens Landing, Va., Sep- tomber 13, 1862. Mustered out, June 2, 1863. He was never absent from the regiment, except when a prisoner, but the hardships and privations endured on Belle Isle wore upon his constitution, and he has been an invalid for some time.
JOSEPH PHILLIPS, 58 GENESEE STREET, BUFFALO, N. Y.
Born in Rochester, N. Y., October 22, 1842. Enlisted, April 9, 1861, at Lockport, N. Y. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as private in Co. K. Mustered out, June 2, 1863.
Mr. Phillips has lived in Buffalo for the past twenty- seven years; has been connected with the Fire Depart- ment twenty-four years and has proved very efficient, being promoted to Captain of the Fire-boat "Hutchin- son," which responsible position he now holds.

Soon after leaving the army Mr. Smith went to Aurora, Ills., where he has since resided, in the employ of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railway Company.

Born in Germany, December 3, 1840. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as private in Co. K. Served in Brigade Quartermaster's department from February, 1862, to May, 1863. Mustered out, June 2, 1863.
Subsequent to the war, he lived in Grand Haven, Mich., for two years. Then returned to Niagara County, N. Y., where he has since resided.
Mr. Strasburg is a farmer by occupation.
HUGH A. JAMESON, NORTH TONAWANDA, N. Y.
Born at Darien, Genesee County, N. Y., April 7, 1837. Enlisted April 28, 186r, at Lockport, N. Y. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as ist Sergeant, Co. K. On recruiting ser- vice, October and November, 1861. Mustered out, June 2, 1863.
For many years subsequent to the War Mr. Jameson was in the employ of the L. S. & M. S. R. R. Co ; and later head clerk in the Postal service, between Cincinnati and Pittsburg. He has resided in North Tonawanda for the past ten years, engaged in mercantile business. Is a member of the Willish Post, G. A. R., at Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born in Germany, November 18, 1841. Enlisted, May 18, 1861. Mustered in, May 22. 1861, as Private in Co. A. Mustered out, June 2. 1863. Re enlisted, January 2, 1864, in Co. B, 8tl N. Y. H. A. Wounded in left breast, knee and right hand, at Cold Harbor, June 3, 1864 Participated in all the operations of the 2d Corps until the surrender of Lee. Was transferred to Co. I, 10th N. Y. Infantry, June 5. 1865. Mustered out, June 30, 1865. After the war Mr. Mehwaldt lived in Brockport for a few years, then went to Eseanaba Mich. In 1876 he went to Santa Cruz, California, for a short time, going from there to Portland, Oregon, where he remained until he moved to Buffalo, in 1888. He is a machinist and engineer.
GEORGE B. SWICK, PEKIN, N. Y. \
Born in Seneea County. N. Y., November 12, 1840. Enlisted in April, 1861. Mustered in, May 22, 1861 .. Private in Co. C. Mustered out, June 2, 1863.
Mr. Swick went overland to the Pacific coast in the spring of 1866. Returned in 1868. Since then has been engaged in farming and dairying in Niagara County, N. Y. Is a member of Alexander B. Mabon Post, No. 125, G. A. R., Department of N. Y.
EDWIN A. BOWEN, DIED AT JOLIET, ILLS., AUGUST 18, 1895.
Born in Cayuga County, N. Y., March 28, 1841. Mustered in, May 22, 1861, as Private in Co. D. Captured at Cedar Mountain, Va., August 9, 1862. Paroled at Aikens Landing, Va , September 13, 1862, Mustered out, June 2, 1863.
Re-enlisted, February 18, 1864, as Corporal in Co. L, 2d N. Y. Mounted Ritles. Mustered out, August 10, 1865, at Petersburg, Va.
After the war Mr. Bowen returned to Medina, N. Y., and remained there until 1872, when he moved to Phila- delphia, where he lived for several years, going from there to Joliet, Ills., where he died last year.
He was an Architect and Builder.

JOHN S. CORNWELL, YATES, ORLEANS COUNTY, N. Y.
Born May 2, 1834, in the town of Yates, N. Y. Enlisted, December 24, 1861. Mustered in, January 6, 1862, as Private in Co. D. Mustered out, June 2, 1863. Subsequent to the War Mr. Cornwell returned to Yates, N. Y., his native place, where he has since resided on his farm. He is one of the best known and most respected citizens in the town, a man of integrity and honor, whose word is as good as his bond.
