The Sisters who take charge of the sick in the several departments have been selected with especial regard to their fitness, and bring to their aid a knowledge acquired by years of experience and devotion to the suffering in camp and city hospitals.


Patients who desire to enter the Hospital should make application to the Sister Superior, who will admit them at her discretion ; provided that one of the Medical officers certifies in writing that the case is a suitable one for treatment in the Hospital. Patients are received without regard to their religious belief.


The price of board in the general wards is $6 per week. Those desiring private rooms are charged according to the accommodations furnished. A certain number of free beds are maintained for the use of such patients as may not be able to pay anything.


ST. PETER'S DISPENSARY. This Department of the Hospital is open for the reception of


MEDICAL CASES --- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 12 to 1 P. M. SURGICAL CASES --- Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 12 to 1 P. M. DISEASES OF EYE AND EAR --- Daily from 9 to 10 A. M.


DISEASES OF WOMEN --- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 1 to 2 P. M.


ADVICE AND MEDICINES ARE FURNISHED WITHOUT CHARGE.


The Dispensary was opened in November, 1869, and has not only offered relief to residents of the city and its immediate vicinity, but also to many from neighboring counties.


About 9,200 individuals have been treated in this department. Among these were, besides a great variety of Medical and Surgical cases, a large number afflicted with various diseases of the Eye and Ear, and also many cases of Diseases peculiar to women.

ALBANY CITY Homeopathic Hospital and City Dispensary,

No. 123 NORTH PEARL STREET.


This Hospital was organized in 1872. Very commodious and suitable rooms have been provided in a building recently purchased by the Board of Trustees. The premises are centrally and conveniently located, and afford ample accommodations for upwards of fifty patients.


The admission of charity patients is provided for by the appropriations received from the City Government, and donations from private sources.


The charge for Board and Treatment ranges from SIX to TWELVE dollars per week.


The Medical and Surgical Departments of the Hospital and Dispensary are sustained by a corps of physicians and surgeons.

DISPENSARY.


The Dispensary was first opened in 1867, for the purpose of gratuitously aiding those who were unable to pay for medical and surgical treatment. Since its establishment more than seventy thousand applicants have received such treatment and relief as the resources of the Institution afforded.


Consultations and Medicines, and Surgical Operations, are rendered WITHOUT CHARGE. The Dispensary is open at all hours of the day and night-the Resident Physician being in attendance, when not otherwise professionally engaged.


Dr. W. E. MILBANK attends the Dispensary for the treatment of Surgical Cases, from 12 to 1 o'clock on Wednesday and Saturday, and Dr. H. G. PRESTON, on Monday and Thursday of each week.
