When a street is named as constituting a boundary line, the line runs along the center of such street.


WARD I .- Beginning on the eastern boundary of the city where Gansevoort street prolonged would intersect, and running by Gansevoort street to S. Pearl, S. Pearl to Fourth avenue, Fourth avenue to Elizabeth, Elizabeth to Third avenue, Third avenue to S. Hawk, S. Hawk to Morton, Morton to Dela- ware avenue, Delaware avenue to southern city boundary line, thence by the said city line to the east low water line of Island creek, thence along said low water line to the Hudson river, thence by the eastern boundary line of the city to the place of beginning.


WARD II .- Beginning at the intersection of S. Pearl and Fourth avenue and running by Fourth avenue to Elizabeth, Elizabeth to Third avenue, Third avenue to Eagle, Eagle to Warren, Warren to Grand, Grand to Arch, Arch to S. Pearl, S. Pearl to Fourth avenue, the place of beginning.


WARD III. - Beginning on the eastern city boundary line where Gansevoort street prolonged would intersect, and running by Gansevoort to S. Pearl, S. Pearl to S. Ferry, S. Ferry to Franklin, Franklin to Westerlo, Westerlo to Church, Church to John, John to eastern city boundary line, thence by said line to place of beginning.


WARD IV .- Beginning on the eastern boundary line of the city where John street prolonged would intersect, and running by John street to Church, Church to Westerlo, Westerlo to Franklin, Franklin to S. Ferry, S. Ferry to S. Pearl, S. Pearl to Hud- son avenue, Hudson avenue and Hudson avenue prolonged to the eastern city boundary line, thence along said line to place of beginning.

WARD VI .- Beginning on the eastern boundary line of the city where Hudson avenue prolonged would intersect, and running by Hudson avenue to S. Pearl, S. WARD VII .- Beginning at the intersection of Clinton avenue and Ten Broeck, and running by Clinton avenue to N. Knox, N. Knox to Third, Third to N. Swan, N. Swan to Livingston avenue, Livingston avenue to Ten Broeck, Ten Broeck to Clinton avenue, the place of beginning.


WARD VIII .- Beginning at the intersection of Livingston avenue and Broadway, and running by Livingston avenue to N. Swan, N. Swan to Third, Third to N. Knox, N. Knox and its prolongation to Patroon's creek, thence by the center of Patroon's creek to Broadway, Broadway to Livingston av- enue, the place of beginning.


WARD IX -Beginning on the eastern boundary line of the city where Livingston avenue prolonged would intersect, and running by Livingston avenue to Broadway, Broadway to Patroon's creek, the center of Patroon's creek and Tivoli lake to opposite the angle formed by northern and western boundary lines of the city, and to said angle, thence north- erly, easterly and southerly along the city boundary lines to the prolongation of Livingston avenue, the place of beginning.


WARD X .- Beginning at the intersection of Clinton avenue with Lexington avenue and running by Lexington avenue to Washington avenue, Wash- ington avenue to Lexington avenue, Lexington a ve- nue to State, State to Western avenue, Western avenue to Perry, Perry to Clinton avenue, Clinton avenue to Lexington avenue, the place of beginning.


WARD XI .- Beginning at the intersection of N. Knox with Clinton avenue, and running by Clinton avenue to Quail, Quail and its prolongation to Tiv- oli lake, Tivoli lalze and Patroon's creek to N. Knox prolonged, N. Knox to Clinton avenue, the place of beginning.

WARD XVII .- Beginning at the intersection of Quail with Clinton avenue and running by Quail and its prolongation to Tivoli lake, thence by Tivoli lake and Patroon's creek to opposite the angle formed by northern and western boundary lines of the city and to said angle, thence westerly and southerly to the city boundary lines to the westerly prolongation of Clinton avenue, thence by said pro- Iongation and Clinton avenue to Quail, the place of beginning.


WARD XVIII .- Beginning at the intersection of Western avenue with Lake avenue, and running by Lake avenue and its prolongation to the city boundary line, thence westerly, northerly and west- erly by said line to Western avenue, thence by Western avenue to Lake avenue, the place of be- ginning.


WARD XIX .- Beginning at the intersection of Perry street with Western avenue, and running by Western avenue to the westernmost city boundary line, thence northerly and easterly by said line to the prolongation of Clinton avenue, thence by said prolongation and Clinton avenue to Perry, Perry to Western avenue, the place of beginning.

Beginning at the northwesterly corner of the east abutment of the Albany and Susquehanna railroad bridge over the Albany and Bethlehem turnpike, and running thence north fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes west true, through a white marble monument about twelve hun- dred feet west of the above-mentioned abutment, and continuing north fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes west true, to a white marble monument on the west line of Delaware av- enue ; thence northerly along the west line of Delaware avenue, for a distance of seven hun- dred and nine and forty-five hundredths feet, to a stone monument ; thence continuing along the west line of Delaware avenue for a distance of six hundred and fifty feet to a white marble monument; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes east true, for a dis- tance of fifteen hundred and forty-one and eighty-three hundredths feet, to a white marble monument; thence north fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes west true, for a distance of about seventy-three hundred and ninety feet, to a white marble monument; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes east true, for a distance of twenty-nine hundred and seventy feet, and passing through a white marble monument on the south side of the Albany, Schoharie and Rensselaerville plankroad, to a white marble monument, said last-mentioned monument being one hundred and thirty-two feet west of the west line of Allen street ; thence north fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes west true, to the intersection with the north line of Western avenue; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes east true, for a distance of about fifty-eight hundred and sixty feet, to the old north city line; thence south fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes cast true, through an old sandstone monument inarked " Albany, 1800 S. D.," and continuing on the same course for a distance of about one hundred and fifteen feet easterly from said monument, to a point which is three-quarters of a mile west of the west line of Allen street ; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen min- utes east true, for a distance of about eight hundred and seventy-six feet, to a white marble monument; thence continuing on the saine course to a point about twenty-two hundred and fifty feet north of the old former north line of the city ; thence south fifty-one degrees forty- six minutes east true, to a point on the center line of Watervliet avenue, which point is two thousand feet north of the north line of Central avenue ; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes east true, for a distance of four hundred feet; thence south fifty-one de- grees forty-six minutes cast true, for a distance of fourteen hundred and fifty feet; then south thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes west true, for a distance of four hundred feet ; thence south fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes east true, to a point on the east line of New York Central avenue, produced northerly, which point is about twenty-three hundred feet north of the south line of Clinton avenue; thence continuing easterly to a point about on the east line of Ontario street, produced northerly, which point is thirty-two hundred and seventy feet north of the south line of Clinton avenue; thence north thirty-eight degrees fourteen minutes east true, passing through a white marble monument, and continuing on the same course to a point which is sixty-six hundred and fifty feet north of the south line of Clinton avenue ; thence south fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes east true, through a white marble monument, and continuing on the same course for a distance of about six hundred and ninety-seven feet to a white marble monument; thence northerly and parallel with Broadway for a distance of sixteen hundred feet to a white marble monument; thence easterly on a line about at right angles with Broadway through a monument on the west line of Broadway, and continuing easterly on the same course to the center of the main channel of the Hudson river; thence southerly and continuing through the center of the main channel of the Hudson river to a point which, measuring at right angles with Quay street, is opposite the face of the dock on the south side of the Island creek; thence west- erly, along the face of said dock and southerly along the east low-water line of the Island creek, to a point about two thousand three hundred feet from the northwesterly cor- ner of the east abutment of the Albany and Susquehanna railroad bridge over the Albany and Bethlehem turnpike, measured on a course south fifty-one degrees forty-six minutes cast true, from the said corner of said abutment; thence north fifty-one degrees forty- six minutes west true, for a distance of about two thousand three hundred feet, to the said corner of said abutment, the place of beginning.
