E LYON NAKER NEW YORK

ELIUN MAKER NEW YORK

O.MADDAUS. N.Y ..

The undersigned, thankful for past favors from his numerous customers and friends in the MENHADEN OIL BUSINESS, would make them further acquainted by the above illustra- tion, of the various improvements he has made in the perfect adaptation of the HYDRAULIC PRESS to the ease and rapid method of expressing Oil from Fish, Cider from Apples Wine from Grapes. and other substances of a like nature. This Press con- sists of a Hydraulic Ram and Cylinder, of sixty or more tons pressure, Rods of Iron, Platens of Wood or iron, with Double Hydraulic Force Pumps and connections. These Pumps may be run by power or by hand, are so arranged by valves, that the Press may be run up, stopped, or lowered, at any point of its movement. The person working the Press, by the use of these Valves has the most perfect control of the Pumps. These : Valves and Pump Packings are so arranged, that they may easily be taken out, or put in without disarranging any other part of the Pump. This Hydraulic Press, arranged in the manner described, is capable of pressing, from two to three hundred thousand Fish in ten hours. Also, Hydraulic Jacks, and Punches. make single or double Hydraulic Stop Valves, Relief and Check Valves, Hydraulic Pipe Couplings, Hydraulic Pipe, ( urbs of Wood and Iron, Truck and Car Wheeles, Axles, Patent Clutch Pulleys, Shafting. Hangers, Pullies and Gearing, Steam Pipe and Fittings. Pattern Making, Blacksmithing and Repairings, promptly attended to.
