BASE-BURNING OR SURFACE-BURNING, BRICK-SET OR PORTABLE. Sold by our Agents Everywhere.

The 66 Burtis Furnace.

1 .- Its Peculiar Construction.

Every joint is horizontal and double packed, making the escape of gas impossible.

Every part is cast iron, so that you will have no sheet iron tubes or drums to burn out or rust out.

Every square inch is direct radiating surface, making it relatively the most powerful heater in the world.

Every flue is easily accessible, so that to clean the surface thoroughly, not a bolt will have to be removed.

Every part at all liable to get out of order may be replaced without taking down the heater ..

2 .- It Excels all Others.

In the Extent of its radiating surface. In its combustion flue and chamber combined. In the supply coal magazine.

In its derfect operating Grate.

3 .- Valuable Testimony.

The essential features which we insist upon in oder to have a com- plete hot air furnace, we find anticipated in the scientific. construction of the Burtis Furnace, and. it cannot fail to meet with great success. -From The Manufacture . and Builder ..

Leading Architects and Builders have pronounced the Burtis Base Burning Furnace.the most desirable furnace ever invented, in that it has the largest radiating surface, consumes its own gases, is a perpetual burner, and circulates the air in the purest state and largest volume, We have ordered one for our residence .- N. Y. Evening Mail.

4 .-- Why Purchase the Burtis Furnace ?

Because it is the result of years of study ; is scientifically con- structed ; avoids every objection to furnaces hitherto offered to the public, and CANNOT FAIL TO PLEASE YOU.

Because it has no sheet iron pipes or drums, is very durable, consumes. all the gases, and WILL RETAIN FIRE ALL WINTER.

Because it forms no clinkers in the fire-pot ; CANNOT GET OUT OF ORDER, may be easily cleaned, and is the most powerful heater. in the world.

Because it will warm your house with a HEALTHFUL.ATMOS- PHERE, may be perfectly controlled, and any ordinary servant can manage it.

WHAT WE PROMISE : Every Heater shall bewell made and mounted, and warranted to give satisfaction.

BURTIS, GRAFF & RICE, Manufacturers, '206 Water Street, NEW YORK.

THE BURTIS

COMBINED

FIRE-PLACE HEATER AND FURNACE.

1st. It is Self-Feeding 'and Base-Burning, and consequently is a perpetual burner, We guarantee that if the Reservoir be kept filled, and the Grate be shaken twice each twenty-four hours, the fire will not require re-kindling during the entire winter. If this be not so, we will take back our heaters, and refund the money paid for them.

2d. It is most Durable and Powerful. It is all of Cast Iron. We might construct it of sheet iron much cheaper, but in a little time it would hecome spotted with rust, and soon would be ruined.

In power, there is no heating apparatus equal to it. Its revertible concentric flues form three distinct heating surfaces, which are in immediate contact with two ascending sheets of air, so that the products of combustion are wholly expended within the heating chamber, or are radiated directly into the room.

3d. It has a " Duplex" Counter-Action Grate. There is no Grate equal to it in the world. . It never clogs; clinkers never accumulate in the fire-pot; the fire never need get low; a child can shake or dump it.

4th. It has the largest and only perfect Reservoir in use. It will hold a supply of coal for twenty-four hours, and is so constructed that it absolutely prevents kindling through the reserve coal in the Reser- voir. This feature alone is worth the price of the heater.

5th. It is a Perfect Burner; consumes its own gas; is controlled by one damper; will scarcely ever require repairing; a child can clean every flue; is free from dust when the grate is shaken; is unequaled in Beauy, Power, or Convenience; is worth ten times its cost to any one requiring such an invention.

THINGS TO REMEMBER.

'Your Fire-Place Heater is perfect."-T. H. TODD, Ed. Star. " We could not get along without it."-T. H. BOYNTON, N. Y. "Fully overcomes all the objections hitherto urged against fire- place Heaters."-R. F. WEIR. M.D.

"Far exceeds my expectations."-Rev. Dr. HALL.

We have thousands of similar testimonials.

ENQUIRIES ANSWERED.

It WILL warm the room in which it sits. You CAN warm an apartment in the rear, It WILL sit in an ordinary fire-place. You need kindle but ONE FIRE all winter. It IS the best heater in the world. We DO warrant it. It WILL heat TWICE as much as any other. We sell to agents EVERYWHERE. We have HUNDREDS of references. We ask NO PAY unless satisfactory.
